My Dream in the Year of the Tiger…
Feb 4th
… is to spend a month at Turkana, Kenya.
Yes, I’ve blog about it and this has been my dream since 2005. I see an opportunity of this realizing when Tiger and Nuffnang came together to fulfill those with dreams dying to come true with Tiger Run. I wait no longer (although I waited till the last minute) and hence, this post.
I’ve read some other post on other blogger’s dream, searched randomly on Google Blog Search.
ShaolinTiger wants to get a Nikon D300s and a paint job on his Airtrek Turbo.
SimonSeow wants to go to Japan Homestay to learn the culture there.
Cheesie wants to go to Japan Homestay too. She can’t get enough of it.
Fourfeetnine will put it as a down payment for a bug, the car.
See Yin wants to beautify herself and go to Japan too. What’s with Japan!?!?
Huai Bin wants to utilize the money on Jestina. Haha! I root for you, HB!
Adele got a whole load of shopping list to fulfill. Okay only 4…
Amelia wants to get iPhone, braces done and trip to Aussie…
They all seems like things that I want too… but I have to fulfill my this dream that I long for it to happen. Forget about Blackberry Bold 2, iPhone and many more material stuffs money can buy. A trip to Turkana is what I want to buy when I get my RM 8,888, should I win them. I’m aiming for 1st Runner up lah, if win Grand Prize then RM 1,888 is a bonus lor.
I am totally serious and am so keen that I’ve even book my flight to Nairobi, Kenya on Qatar Airways which will cost me RM 4616.
Okay. Why I dream and want to head over to Turkana so much? 3 reasons.
1) To help build God’s kingdom. St. Paul’s Apostle runs a missionary there and I’ve been wanting to do head over since 2005. I couldn’t due to commitments here. It has been 5 years now and after following the developments there and how much I’ve kept in touch with Fr. Francis, I want to see with my own eyes the work of God there.
2) Get out of this hectic crazy city life. I like city life, but I do think it would be good to take head out to some ‘deserted’ area and live.
3) Soul searching. 25 years old and I still think that I’ve not achieved much. I do need a soul searching time and this would be a great opportunity for me. Away from everything else and a lot of ‘me-time’.
So, RM 8,888 minus RM 4,616 will leave me with RM 4,272. What can I do with RM 4,272? A lot more! Imagine if the conversion rate for Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) to Kenyan Shillings (KES) is as follow:
I would have roughly KES 95,373! That’s a lot and I can do so much with it while I’m at Turkana. This money can fund so many development projects like building a school or plantation project or water retention dam project. It will all benefit the people. Also, they need medical supplies too!
Part of the funds can support my stay there to. Traveling from one place to another needs long distance travel, hence money definitely will be involve. Unless I can learn to ride a horse while I’m there, then I can save those funds. Hey! Good idea. Will keep that in mind.
What if I win Grand Prize? I spend those who comments on this post for a round of Yee Sang! (I’m sure gonna keep them all RM 1,888! Who comments on my posts anyways…)
I am not joking about this dream okay! Look! I’ve even tried to go to the extreme to win two gold bars worth at least about RM 300 each!
So… please Nuffnang and Tiger, let me join the race! I’m so determined to win okay! What? I’m known as “Long Leg Tiger” for a reason you know.

Alright, it’s about time I pull this post out from the draft and click “Publish”.
Chelsea and Jun has already been complaining that I’m running away from responsibilities of not posting this up. Sigh… people very the busy. Summore I just readjust my priorities and I need to focus on a lot of other things. You need to excuse this blogger okay? hehehe
I posted a teaser but no updates until now and let’s get onto the details alright?
I need to bring five other people and I’ve pretty much sent out invites to certain few. Some couldn’t make it but don’t worry lah, cause you didn’t miss out on good chocolates tho.
I think the reason why it is called Plus 5 is because of the Six Degree Theory?
When we reach, they were giving out this small little cute egg + muffin.

That place was packed with people. Saw many few familiar faces there. Some of them includes my fellow May KLue “FB” Kimberlycun with her usuals…

Then they got this challenge to finish a giant glass of Kahlua dunno mix chocolate something something… OMG! If I didn’t had my sore throat that night! I would definitely take up that challenge lor!!!
They got this huge chocolate fondue fountain. Didn’t manage any chocolate fondue as my throat was bad that night. Boo Boo to sickness!

Finally, a decent photo with Nadia. It has always been clubbing pictures. This is going into the books, Nadia! We need to hang out more before you leave! Else, I would be damn depressing! *sniffs* (Nut!.. I like this pic!!)
It was surprising that I met quite a number of people there. First, it was Matthew Ho and I didn’t manage to grab a picture with him. Busy man he was that night, running around talking to people.
Dora was there with him too, so I took a picture with her together with her friends whom I can’t remember their names now. Wait! Did I even asked for their name at all?
Then, I bumped into Ah “Beng” Beng. Haven’t met him for ages now. Surprise to see him there as well. Oh, Ah Beng was once the superstar of Tinki Talks. Now the fame was taken over by Duh Roads, nevertheless his legacy still stands in Tinki Talks. Okay, back to the topic!

Work has been crazy and it is killing! Like seriously… Since Monday!
I’m so gonna go crazy anytime soon already with all the work I have.

I meant a ‘happening’ break-away! A real ‘happening’. Have you heard of the up and coming 2 Days of FREEDOM Music Festival 09? I’m sure you do lah. Come on lah. The ads are all over the blogs, JUICE Magazine and everywhere else lah…
Okay. So what’s the deal with this FREEDOM 09? It’s a way of life people!
Oh I just found out that if you sign up as their member at their website, you get to enjoy some privileges. Now don’t tell me I didn’t give u some heads up. Go and register! Quick!!
Also there will be activities to keep you sane for the 2 days event. What? You think they gonna ask you to head down to Malacca just for fun? Yes indeed. For fun it is and that’s why they have some FREEDOM activities all lined up for you. I wanna go try their FREEDOM Trampoline man…!! Wheeeee!!!!!
This year, the line up will be as follow. Maybe, there are more to come. But let’s just have our fingers crossed okay? Among the line up, I like Ferry Corsten’s (http://www.ferrycorsten.com/) music. Have been listening to his music just recently only. Dance music yo!!!

Do you know that there will be two more DJs coming for this event? Come I tell you who they are 16 Bit Lolitas (NE) and tyDi (AUS). They have their very own unique music qualities and if I were to choose who I like the most; I would be in total dilemma.
16 Bit Lolitas consists of both Peter and Ariaan, hails from the Netherlands. From a country where dance music is pretty much a hit and the amount of clubs over there compared to Malaysia, I would say their “electronic music” are pretty neat. They do have their regular radio show on Frisky Radio. Oh gosh, it has been a while since I last log on to Frisky Radio. Time to do so now…

Then the next DJ would be DJ tyDi from Australia. He was only 21 when he was named number 1 DJ in Australia last year. Credits should be given to DJ tyDi as he has even toured the world with famous names like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren (AVB) and Paul van Dyk (PVD). Gosh! At the age of 21, I was only going around KL clubs banging my heads consuming alcohol like there is no tomorrow and this DJ tyDi has already traveled the world!

Camwhoring at Nuffnang Maxis Music Bash

Last Saturday I went to this event.
I remember, one of such Nuffnang party that I went to was Pajama Party. It was all cam-whoring night that night. I suppose this Nuffnang Music Bash was the same as well. Didn’t do much at the party except, camwhoring…
It was a crazy Saturday that I have to run from one place to another and get so many things done before actually leaving to KL. Then, suddenly heavy rain pulak. Because of that bugger that scratch my car, making me park my car further away, I can’t reach my car during the heavy downpour. Was all drenched when I reach my car.
Made my way to fetch Pamsong aka Pop Princess and her VVIP, Australian Angel. Pop Princess had some difficulty before leaving her house so I waited and played “snap-the-lighting”…
All ready and we made our way to the party and this is when the night starts…
There were so many people there and I only had a few chances to capture the night with most of them. People like Rojaks was upstairs… VIP mah… hahhaa
While there were people busy dancing and partying… I went around, cam-whoring. Let’s see who they are…

H Factor… Hmm.. What is it all about??
Coming this weekend, H-Factor is in its final leg of round Malaysia tour.
Finishing their show in Penang, Johor Bharu and only last weekend at Kota Kinabalu.
H-Factor is coming to town, Kuala Lumpur, this coming Sunday! 2nd Nov 2008.
The line ups are interesting and yet, educational. How often you get people like Hannah Tan (TV Hosting), Hans Isaac (Actor), Harith Iskander (Comedian), Serena C & Pietro Felix (MixFM), Reymee (Innuendo), Joey Khor (Graphic Artist), Fellest Yan (Dancer) and David Lai (Mentalist) to come all together to share with you their knowledge and experience in their respective fields.

The workshop is great in the sense that, it prepares the young ones who are undecisive about what they want to do in the future to decide their next course of action. Also, it also give a sense of security for those whose parents are not giving in into the industry of entertainment, music, graphic and acting for their children’s future. Let me quote you what David Lai said “It pays well. Really well!!” while Serena C said “I get to pay my bills and pamper myself“.
There are so much to talk about H-Factor, but, to cut the story short… It is fun…

Hennessy Artistry is coming to live again featuring a few World’s Finest Artists.
I thought the previous Hennessy Artistry @ Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena was the last Hennessy even that is gonna be held. Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena is probably one of the best venue to date for such a large scale party. Great location, even though parking was a bane, but the venue just made up for it. The ventilation was superb, area was BIG and its just GREAT lah…
This time, they are bringing the different type of artist(s). Its gonna be at Orange Club?? Wait, Isn’t Orange Club now called Borneo Baruk Club?? Hmmm…. okay, this area, the parking is going to be another pain in the ass.

Until June
Young, up-and-coming alternative rock band from Hollywood, California, Until June are made up of Josh Ballard (Piano & Vocals), Dan Ballard (Guitar) and Daniel Dempsey (Drums). Determined to make it as a band the boys packed up their bags and left their Phoenix, Arizona homes for sunny Los Angeles.
With a collective deadline of June 2006, the unnamed band christened itself after their self-imposed cut-off date. Sequestered in a new town the band has crafted an album infused with honesty and perseverance.

Hed Kandi, for the uninnitiated, is a record label by itself. Started somewhat in 1999, it has been widely accepted as “THE” club music to listen to. Sometimes many people mistaken Hed Kandi as a DJ person. No. Hed Kandi started as a compilation of great club musics back then, and now has grown into a global brand recognized by clubbers. They have earned their residency with Ministry of Sound in the UK, hence this feature by Euphoria. How Hed Kandi takes its flight with global acceptance and presence is phenomenan.
Personally, I like Hed Kandi’s theme music of both Kandi Lounge and Serve Chilled. Its just the kind of music that you listen after a long day’s work. You come back home, grab a beer from your fridge and you tune into both Kandi Lounge or Serve Chilled, chilling your night away… *I need a beer now*
So, this coming 27th September 2008, Euphoria is presenting Hed Kandi featuring UK famous DJ Andy Daniels with Lady Victoria on the Saxophone.
Don’t quote me, but by looking at the above ad, Euphoria will be playing Back To Love compilation amongs many other theme compilations. You know, tracks from the likes of Jamiroquai and David Morales? Don’t know? Nevermind… check it out on the 27th… haha
