Why You All Don’t Believe ME!!!
Jul 25th
I wrote on my Twitter that I ‘retire’ clubbing already!
Okay, my Tweet links with Facebook.
I got replies from both side. Seems like everyone is like not believing me.
Sigh. Am I not keeping up to my words?
This was my Tweet reply:
Both my HRC church mates don’t believe me.

and this was from Facebook:

Some laughed, just don’t believe and family even mock me!
not forgetting ONE CALL and FOUR SMS about it…
How hard is it to believe? How hard? Oh wells…
Looks like I’ve got this party animal face and good that the legacy still stays. :p hahahaha
But, anyhoos… I’m giving Hennessy Artistry tonight a skip definitely!
What was 30 minutes…
Jun 16th
… is now 1 hour and 30 minutes.
That’s how long it took me to finish up a beer. Like seriously. Nadia called to meet up yesterday night with her other bunch of friends. So I thought, why not? Been a while tho…
Then she text me saying that she will order one bottle of beer. I thought otherwise because I need to wake up early. Which I AM NOW. She insisted and I replied in my SMS, “Mati Kudasai Aku“…
Talk about drinking…
My clubbing days are numbered and it has to come to an end. More than a year ago, I was pretty active in the club scene. Very active in the sense that I go clubbing on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
That shows how much I spent weekly on alcohol. Not forgetting cigarettes as well. The government nicely earns about RM 100-200 from me weekly on “sin tax”. Eh, not bad what. I’m supporting Malaysian economy.
Until the days, which was pretty much the last one year I started giving up everything.
Reason?
Number One. It helps with the pocket. Still have more reserves for something else.
Number Two. I’m more alert with my work now. No more hangover working dilemma now.
Number Three. Health reason. I just felt the need to stay healthy. Health is wealth.
Number Four. What more reason than to plan for the future. I want a healthy lifestyle where my wife and children don’t hate me because I smoke and drink. Furthermore, “most” woman doesn’t like their man who smokes and drinks. Right?
Number Five. Just my very own personal reason.
Nevertheless, I still drink. Like this one particular glass that lasted me more than one hour. I was dreading to finish this glass okay! It was like Fear Factor. What a challenge… Hahaha…

Nads! I think you need to find another drinking partners liao lah. Wait, you already have!
Gosh! I’m up super early! Taz… off to a seminar…
Give Me FREEDOM Please!!!
May 21st
Work has been crazy and it is killing! Like seriously… Since Monday!
I’m so gonna go crazy anytime soon already with all the work I have.
I need a real break!
I meant a ‘happening’ break-away! A real ‘happening’. Have you heard of the up and coming 2 Days of FREEDOM Music Festival 09? I’m sure you do lah. Come on lah. The ads are all over the blogs, JUICE Magazine and everywhere else lah…
Okay. So what’s the deal with this FREEDOM 09? It’s a way of life people!

Oh I just found out that if you sign up as their member at their website, you get to enjoy some privileges. Now don’t tell me I didn’t give u some heads up. Go and register! Quick!!

Also there will be activities to keep you sane for the 2 days event. What? You think they gonna ask you to head down to Malacca just for fun? Yes indeed. For fun it is and that’s why they have some FREEDOM activities all lined up for you. I wanna go try their FREEDOM Trampoline man…!! Wheeeee!!!!!

This year, the line up will be as follow. Maybe, there are more to come. But let’s just have our fingers crossed okay? Among the line up, I like Ferry Corsten’s (http://www.ferrycorsten.com/) music. Have been listening to his music just recently only. Dance music yo!!!

Oh and this news sure you don’t know wan! Confirm ah! Muahahah.
Do you know that there will be two more DJs coming for this event? Come I tell you who they are 16 Bit Lolitas (NE) and tyDi (AUS). They have their very own unique music qualities and if I were to choose who I like the most; I would be in total dilemma.
16 Bit Lolitas consists of both Peter and Ariaan, hails from the Netherlands. From a country where dance music is pretty much a hit and the amount of clubs over there compared to Malaysia, I would say their “electronic music” are pretty neat. They do have their regular radio show on Frisky Radio. Oh gosh, it has been a while since I last log on to Frisky Radio. Time to do so now…

(Source: Shit For Free)
Check out their songs on MySpace. Click Here. I like Murder Weapon out of the lot of their songs there.
Then the next DJ would be DJ tyDi from Australia. He was only 21 when he was named number 1 DJ in Australia last year. Credits should be given to DJ tyDi as he has even toured the world with famous names like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren (AVB) and Paul van Dyk (PVD). Gosh! At the age of 21, I was only going around KL clubs banging my heads consuming alcohol like there is no tomorrow and this DJ tyDi has already traveled the world!

(Source: The Daily)
His music also very nice to listen too! Go listen on MySpace. Click Here.
FREEDOM 09 this year will be held at Malacca A’Famosa Resort and this time, they will be holding FREEDOM 09 on a tarmac! Have I told you I hate sticky and muddy ground? The Jamiraquoi party during F1 was just like that and it totally turned me off, no matter how much I like Jamiraquoi.

Yes, those are the list of hotels in Malacca that you can contact for your accommodation. There are news that hotel rooms are quickly taken up. So quick! Grab your rooms while they are still available. OR… you can appoint me as your official logistics handler. :p Just email me at travel(at)yapthomas(dot)com
Now, I shall leave you with the banner ad that I received in my email.

For 2 days pass you only pay RM 128. Whoa! Not bad what… If you are feeling a little bit kiamsap mah, go join as FREEDOM member at www.freedom-09.net. Why? Because as an exclusive FREEDOM member, you will get up to RM 30 off per pass. No harm join as member cause got benefit summore. Who knows what else is in store for you when you are there?

I think I will be there lah…
If time permits and if I want to break my clubbing rule. But oh wells… gah! So many things going on lah…
Okay.. I shall be officially on hiatus for 48 hours!
Pulling the Handbrake
May 21st
Work is killing but I just wanna state my thoughts here and head back to it.
I think I have been really calm lately. I did not cry over spilled milk. I have been very diplomatic with mistakes. I have not been screaming my lungs while driving in a bad traffic jam. I have been very nice to people who have hurt me. I did not go all out against unreasonable decision made by my HQ.
Recently, I had a meal and I found a hair. I pushed the bowl aside, made a slight temper fuss but I did not went over to complain. The boss saw me and asked what happened and she saw the hair. I told her, “It’s okay. Just don’t charge me for it.” She said “No! No! No!, I will bring you something else.” I insisted, “No”.
On usual normal ocassion, I would just stop eating and make a big fuss over it. Hey, that hair could come with all the germs and what not. That person could have not washed his/her hair for a very long time. I did not. I calmly push aside the vege bowl. Dig out a potion from my own bowl and continue eating the rest of my meal.
Paying my bill, she said sorry again and I just smiled and walked away. What I will not do is make a fuss. What I will do is blacklist that bloody place! Simple. No hassle.
I don’t know what it is but it seems that I have changed without me knowing until someone told me about it. It’s like pulling the handbrake from everything which does me no good.
First it was smoking, then it was drinking which I have not touched for so long now and then clubbing and now my temper.
Is this the sign of getting old where people gets more gentle and calm?
This Is Why I Reduce Clubbing
Jan 25th
Since the people are all around and well, I thought, it wouldn’t hurt to go out to dance, not drink much and be fresh for next day to get more chores done at the apartment.
So there I was, in a very smoky and stuffy environment, loud music hurting my eardrum every single second plus the tiredness is just killing.
I am all for one mission, have fun, dance and go home.
Another big achievement to drinks less and stay sane to manage my tiredness.
I had a big huge lesson once and I’ve learn that very well.
Alcohol + Tiredness = BIG NO! NO!
So, I layan the musics and the crazy people around me dancing their night away.
3AM came quickly without us knowing, the lights at Zouk light up from its dim dark state.
1/4 of Johnny was consumed and the leftover, kept in custody.
Took the usual slumber chit chat and slow exit and next thing I know, I’m in the car already, driving back home.
A message came, and it reads:
One person RM 93. RM 764 divide by 8 (I was speechless for a few seconds)
Whoa! Clubbing in Zouk has became more expensive or is it just me not clubbing so often to not know the actual price to pay?
RM 93 for one night!!
I mean, the company was great, the drinks were more than enough for me.
But, RM 93! Good gracious!
Now, I know why you are broke Nads…
Please stop spending so much on such ‘sin’ to your pocket and liver!
Instead, spend them shopping or having a good meal with me.
I’m sure you can get some nice quicksilver stuffs for yourself?
Better right?
P/S: Must remind me to pay you… Else I keep on forgetting…
Update: So yeah, now its RM 47 already. Message I got from Facebook…
Hey guys.
The bottle is RM373 so divided by 8 (Pat, Thomas, Rue’s friend, Natalie, two of Nat’s friends, my cousin, and me) so it’s about RM47 per person.
But, I will pay you more than that la..
Blanc Le Club @ Asian Heritage Row
Jan 8th
I’m sure many of you have heard about this new club, Blanc Le Club.
I’ve written about their opening on the 17th December 2008 previously.
Taking over the space which used to be Atrium, this club’s concept is Chic.

Once you enter, on your right, you will two sofa seats space.

The music in this club is loud, because of the smaller space they have here. I think, I will go deaf when the max the beat of the music here. Guess that’s what clubbing is all about eh?

They have quite a big dance floor. Don’t compare to the other clubs, the dance floor space here can accommodate quite a number of people. Given, it’s not a huge club itself.

Beside the dance floor, there is a huge VIP area. Very chic…

Then, the other opposite is where the crowd convene and a bar to churn out every night’s demand for alcohol.

Up and above, is the DJ console, where the picture you saw above.

I just like the lighting here already!!!

There is a ’sky-bridge’ in Blanc. This bridge connects the two separated ends of the 1st floor of the club. AND, this mini bridge is a danger for the ladies with mini skirt.

There is also a bar upstairs to churn out ‘unlimited’ supplies of alcohol too…

So yeah! There you go, Blanc at Asian Heritage Row.
My summary is that, this is a small club that delivers both service and music. Don’t need to say about ladies, as this club attract ladies with its current setup.
I leave you here with the numbers to call should you want to know more about Blanc. Don’t ask me, as I’ve just another visitor to Blanc.

LapSap means Rubbish
Oct 21st
But no, LapSap practically mean, ANYTHING GOES!…
Got to know about LapSap event at Palate Pallete from Kel Li cause she always get all hyped up whenever there is LapSap event. hahaha
Anyways, before the LapSap event, was invited by SerpetineGal to her birthday dinner at Brisik on the 19th Sep 2008. You can read more about her birthday at her blog…

Kelz, Jo, Nigel, Pam, David, Yatz, Mae, Me, Aaron, Joshua and Jen in the middle.
Then, later in the night, we head on to LapSap event at Palate Pallete…

Ada official logo lagi…
Why LapSap? I don’t know. To those who dig this event says that its all about anything. You attend by dressing like half dracula – half mermaid and also jadi. It was really mix and match. Some came “undecided”, while some just “yo! yo! I’m funky munky”

See the Joker there??
It was such a random plan to go to LapSap. I met PinPin here. She went BALD! Whoa!

Heineken rocks!!
Oh, and Olivia was there. So not random as I kinda like see her at most parties in town.

She was above tipsy.. hahah
And, oh wells… what do bloggers do when they go out and party? SHOOT! SHOOT! SHOOT!

Jen with the boys…

Now, you don’t get to see Pam out in the parties very often..

Happy Happy…

the doubleyew-tee-eff look… hahaha

the bar staff decided to spread some love…

Oh HELLO Gorgeous… Girls, will be girls…
I head on to No Black Tie somewhere in between as I couldn’t stand the crazy environment up there. (yes, I’m getting old already). Took a breather there and chill and went back in to go all crazy all over again…
It was a great night…
Mr Party Extraodinaire
Oct 15th
This is a story of a party animal in m3.. -_-
The past one month has been a partying month. Well, not quite, but the numbers of party I’ve attended is uncountable… Okay. Actually, not many tho… Let’s see.. hmmm…
I have the Clive Magazine Launch Party which was on 28th August 2008 at Poppy Garden.

This is where I tried to steal a tire on display…

It was here at Clive House Party I took a picture with Marion Caunter. Okay stop drooling…

And the peeps I went with…

Okay, let’s move on to the next event…
Its Prince Ibitayo’s birthday party at Euphoria, Sunway Hotel on 13th September 2008.

Met Jungle Jerry there and he promised to spend Tayo a birthday drink…

And you know what’s rare? I met my cousin there!!!

She was like dancing dancing and can’t see me. It was funny to see her face when she saw me.
Then then then, at the end of last month there is Hennessy Artistry held at Orange Club on the 27th September 2008. It was crazy night, that night.

The official photographer MikeYip was there snapping all the lenglui pictures!!

Then, what another rare meeting up with Kevin here…

Haven’t met him for quite sometime already…
See, I’ve been really cutting down on clubbing or going for crazy drinking parties already. A long talk over the weekend made me realize how crazy my clubbing days were back then. In a week, I can party like 3 to 4 days in a row. It was real crazy and furthermore, back then, money was really nothing for me. It came from parents and it kept on coming till now, when I start to earn my own money. I became more and more conscious on the money spent drinking the night away. Burning RM 100 for something that last one night, it may not be as satisfactory of buying RM 100 of clothing that would last you for years!! Agree?
That’s why now I dig chill-out sessions and well happy hour is my liking now. Sigh, then, not many people are so keen into chilling out and only a handful of them would come out. This is the sign. This is the sign that I am growing old and I’m starting to dig old man’s activities. Like how many in my age would go and chill in a bar or jazz bar or sitting down listening to some live band…>>>????
Do you dig this kinda “oldies” activities?
I do! I love it! Beginning to love it…
