I wrote on my Twitter update 2 days ago that “I hate December… Please, can I kill December?”
Why? Because, December every year is always the same. It’s just gloomy… Of course you will not notice much, because all you see are the happy front of me, while all the gloomy stuffs is inside me. Hahaha
December 2010 is filled with so many pains. Financial, Work, Relationship, Family and etc…
I don’t know if you have heard of this quote:
You just have to ride it out.
Hope it goes away on its own.
Hope the wound that caused it, heals.
There are no solutions… No easy answers.
You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside.
Most of the time, pain can’t be managed.
But sometimes, the pain gets to you when you least expect it.
It’s way below the belt, and doesn’t let out.
You just have to fight it through.
Because the truth is, you can’t outrun it…
and life always makes more.
Meredith Grey, Grey’s Anatomy S02E05.
Well, it is from Grey’s Anatomy… So yes, pain. Something that hits my chest most of the time, but well, that’s life isn’t it? I can’t help it, it will just come and all we have to do is just, fight through it.
December 2009 was terrible, no wait, it was more like horrible! With bad news and many other stuffs that doesn’t stop arriving at my doorstep, back then that was.
December 2010, is somewhat similar, just that, not as bad as 2009. Still, I hate December!
It is just so fast! Too fast to begin with! I am not even done with 2010! I need more time! Please! Stop the damn clock!
Looking back at my 2010 resolutions, they are not really accomplished yet…
1) Increase my wealth.
4 and 1/2 years working for people, now on my own. It is just getting tougher for me financially as things just happen left right front and back. Pretty much struggling while managing on my own. Most of my friends are already planning marriage, buying homes, changing new cars, investing and etc. I am just oh wells… long way to go my boy.
Guess, I was brave enough to take the challenge. But then again, they are just still premature and at times, it gets quite complicated. Tough to explain, but I guess we are all good for now.
Nothing much has been done in this area as I have been busy with work. MUST IMPROVISE area. Haha.
4) YapThomas Updates
Guess I’m not so far. Been slacking, but hey! Thanks for reading…
So, yes, 2010 has it’s turbulence from time to time. At times, some issues are just neither here nor there. A few issues that are really bugging me and I guess I will not be talking about it, yet. Maybe soon. I am just trying to get it all figured out. Too many for me to process at the moment.
It has been rocky and I don’t know. I just don’t know where I am heading in anything I do and anything that I commit myself too. I just hope that I don’t get disappointed in all that I’ve done fighting for my future, if I have any. Haha.
Maybe I should take a break and make my Turkana Devotion for one month.
This coming 2011, I still think my YapThomas’ Four Pillars of Success would still be relevant while it has been four years since my millionaire by 30 pledge and I am still having some ill feelings about that pledge.
Then again, I knew 2010 would be rocky and not as comfy as before.
Pray that I will be strong to go through these last 2 weeks of 2010 and hopefully I get to see 2011 with a smile?
I thought I would like to write up more on the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
The whole purpose of this Shanghai World Expo 2010 is to showcase the culture, science and technology of each participating countries, to the world. Most importantly to create business opportunities.
If any of you would remember, back in the 1960s. There are two famous Wold’s Fair held in New York in 1939 and 1964. That were the similar event to the current Shanghai World Expo 2010. It was then US was in their great era in military, economy, technology and of course science. It is also a time where US was coming out of depression in 1939. Maybe, it could be a show of strength towards the cold war they had with Russia back then after the World War II.
Now, the sleeping giant has awaken, thus the Shanghai World Expo 2010 comes to life. True or not, don’t hold my words for it. China is set to become the next big giant in economy, science and technology also not forgetting as well, the Chinese culture. That I can say, it will happen and it’s happening already.
Watching the video above, gives me great feeling. A feeling I can’t describe with words. Maybe it was because of the music… Hehe.
It is somewhat like Age of Empires, where you can see how each achievement each age can bring to a certain nation. Truly amazing. It’s Age of Empires, live in Shanghai, 2010!
Okay… Maybe I should start planning to head over to Shanghai World Expo 2010.
I may sound that I’m comparing two countries on this particular event. In actual fact, World Expo happens every 5 years. The previous World Expo 2005 was held in Japan.
This video can tell you more facts on Shanghai World Expo 2010.
The World Expo is govern by the Bureau International des Expositions.
My final question before I part this post is, will Malaysia bid to host a World Expo?
1st May 2010, the Shanghai World Expo 2010 opens to the world. Shanghai is expecting around 70 million visitor for this six months long World Expo that will end at 31st October 2010.
A total of 189 countries is participating in the World Expo and a whopping USD$45 billion has been spent on the face-lift of Shanghai for this World Expo.
On the night of 30th April 2010, Shanghai launched the Shanghai World Expo 2010 in style. Al Jazeera’s Divya Gopalan reports.
For those who can’t make it there, worry not as you can be part of the World Expo though Shanghai Expo Online. Shanghai is surely exploiting the online technology to the max.
Through Shanghai Expo Online, you can interact with every available pavilion that is available there. You can even walk around the expo, just like playing Sims. It is truly phenomenal that you HAVE TO give it a try. Wonder if they would create Sims Expo? Hmmm…
I shall be covering the Shanghai World Expo 2010 more in coming weeks. There’s so much to talk about. Stay tuned.

Stay away you worthless creatures for that I party only with supermodels!
Don’t believe me? See for yourself!
FHM Girl Next Door 2010 Winner, Yvonne Sim.
FHM GND 2010 and Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 Finalist, Katherine Ng.
Nah… actually, I’m just an opportunist. I don’t party with supermodels like how David Lai would do now.
The above two pictures was taken during FHM GND private party courtesy of Ms. JunJunRiko. It was so happening that I had to go for one reason and that one reason is to meet Hui Jeat. It was really disappointing that she left the venue early. Linora can tell how disappointing I was. :p
Here are the pictures from the FHM Girl Next Door Party at Carlsberg HQ. Enjoy…
The host, Ms. JunJunRiko…
Linora and Mr. G was there too…
Carol is taller than me now…wtf
and finally here are the rest of the pictures for that night.
David Lai who is back, then.
One last one for the road…
I must start partying already. Must not lose to Ms. G who has been partying every week now already!
