What is H Factor – Preview
Nov 1st
H Factor… Hmm.. What is it all about??
Coming this weekend, H-Factor is in its final leg of round Malaysia tour.
Finishing their show in Penang, Johor Bharu and only last weekend at Kota Kinabalu.
H-Factor is coming to town, Kuala Lumpur, this coming Sunday! 2nd Nov 2008.

The line ups are interesting and yet, educational. How often you get people like Hannah Tan (TV Hosting), Hans Isaac (Actor), Harith Iskander (Comedian), Serena C & Pietro Felix (MixFM), Reymee (Innuendo), Joey Khor (Graphic Artist), Fellest Yan (Dancer) and David Lai (Mentalist) to come all together to share with you their knowledge and experience in their respective fields.

[The gentlemen from left to right - Hans Isaac, David Lai, Harith Iskander, Reymee Hussein, Pietro Felix, Fellest Yan, Joey Khor. The ladies - Hannah Tan and Serena C]
The workshop is great in the sense that, it prepares the young ones who are undecisive about what they want to do in the future to decide their next course of action. Also, it also give a sense of security for those whose parents are not giving in into the industry of entertainment, music, graphic and acting for their children’s future. Let me quote you what David Lai said “It pays well. Really well!!” while Serena C said “I get to pay my bills and pamper myself“.
There are so much to talk about H-Factor, but, to cut the story short… It is fun…
How fun? Let me show you a video preview of what happened in Penang…
So, if you are brave enough to go on stage, you get something in the end.
And it could be your stepping stone towards your dream!
You can read more about the happening at H-Factor’s workshop at their official web.
While you’re at it, you are not too far away to get yourself a seat.
The two numbers you can call to enquire more are:

Have a great weekend ahead! I’ve got Halloween Party to attend tonight! Whheee!!!

Leaders for Tomorrow (L4T)
Aug 23rd
It was during Malaysian Student Leaders Summit 2008 where I got to know from Tengku Zafrul’s speech that he is starting up a new organization of youth leaders named Leaders for Tomorrow or better known as L4T amongst its exco-members.
I’ve been attending the meeting and I liked the whole agenda and focus of the group. The meeting is serious in a way that it is very formal and people who are in the exco-councils are leaders in their own capacity.
Recently, L4T has their official press conference to introduce L4T and it was attended by media members. This is one of L4T’s first outreach to the general public and to create awareness and interest.
Let me just quote a source of news release from Bernama for your understanding.
Date Posted: 20/08/2008
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) — A group of individuals from the corporate sector have come together to set up “Leaders for Tomorrow” (L4T), an organisation aimed at developing young leaders and entrepreneurs in Malaysia.
L4T chairman Tengku Zafrul Aziz said the organisation, backed by its board of trustees with notables like Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes and Datuk Seri Nazir Razak, will run a series of programmes within the next several months to create dynamic, passionate, motivated and values-based leaders.
“L4T is a non-profit organisation aimed at developing Malaysian youth into leaders who are able to compete globally. It also provides a platform for constructive engagement,” he said during the launch of L4T here Tuesday.
Tengku Zafrul is also chief executive officer of Tune Money Sdn Bhd, a company that provides affordable personal finance services.
L4T is open to working Malaysian aged between 21 and 40 with miniumum qualifications of SPM. Annual membership fee is RM100.
According to Tengku Zafrul, L4T will focus on globalisation and Malaysia, tertiary and community education, economic and industry development, media, culture and heritage, and leadership camps which encompass training, personal development and voluntary projects.
“We also intend to reach out to younger potential leaders, through the ‘Cilipadi’ programme which will identify those aged 16 to 17 from underprivileged families and assign them an L4T member as mentor,” he said.
Tengku Zafrul said L4T programmes, which included overseas leadership exchanges, seminars and workshops, will be sponsored by the Malaysian corporate sector.

Fxxked-up Reserve Unit aka Federal Reserve Unit
May 29th
If there is any alternative way to call the FRU, that is what I am gonna call it.
There is no way to deny it and the facts are all over the internet. Maybe not the
newspaper as it is basically known to be owned by the Government agencies.
I couldn’t imagine one day if the papers would run a headline like this in their paper:
“21 Years Old Youth Bloodied by Police”
How cool would that be?
I have been following the Malaysiakini for quite sometime now and nothing have
come up to be of my interest until I log in a while ago to read about this.
BMC Fracas: Police beat up youth
Syed Jaymal Zahiid | May 28, 08 2:46pm
By his account, he was only a curiosity-seeker who wanted to know what was going on at the site of a disputed barricade near Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) last night.
MCPXcheras mahkota fru assault on car sequence 280508In no time at all, however, Chang Jiun Haur was soaked in his own blood after being repeatedly beaten by 20 riot squad (FRU) personnel armed with batons and kicked with boots.
chang jiun haur beaten up youth by fru police cheras mahkota Chang, 21, his sister and two friends were driving away from the site of the barricade about 11.30pm, when their car was surrounded by police personnel who had earlier dealt with a fracas involving BMC residents.
A high-ranking police officer at the scene claimed that Chang had run over a FRU personnel with his car.
“He asked for it. He ran over a policeman and he got what he deserved,” the officer told Malaysiakini a few minutes after the incident.
Asked to identify the person who was hit by the car, the officer had initial difficulty in persuading the individual to come forward.
When he did so, the man – who appeared unscathed – claimed: “He tried to run me over… look at my baton, it is broken. What more evidence do you want?”
However, a police officer who took Chang to the Kajang Hospital said none of the personnel had been hit by the car.
Chang, when met at the hospital at 12.30am, denied this as well: “We had just come back (to Kuala Lumpur) from Port Dickson and wanted to see what was going on.”
cheras mahkota road grand saga barricade fru assault 280508 01He was lying on a bed, with a bloodied mouth. His shirt had been torn off by the police, and his shorts were drenched in blood. He was crying from the shock and trauma, and was unable to say much more.
It is learnt that Chang was placed in the intensive care unit. The other occupants of his car were arrested last night, but were released today according to BMC Open Road Committee chairperson Tan Boon Hwa who has been keeping tabs on last night’s dramatic events.
DAP Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu, who visited Chang later last night, said the police had over-reacted and that the excessive use of force could not be justified.
“The police should maintain law and order and not assault people. I am disappointed. My party will provide Chang and the others with lawyers,” Liu said.
According to Liu, the beating was so severe that Chang lost one or two of his teeth.
This is all because of the on going Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) dissatisfaction about the road closure at a junction which is a toll-free access road to the Cheras-Kajang Highway in Bandar Mahkota Cheras. I shall rant about this in a later post. I find it is just how stupid and childish and all for the love for money can one corporation be! What an asshole!
Back to the cash of Chang Jiun Haur. He was practically beaten and whacked by the Federal Reserve Units, because it was said that he ‘tried’ to run over one of their member.
Now, the whole point of view is. HE DID or DID NOT run over was vague. There is no solid prove to justify the whole scenario and all he did was just being a busy body to see what is the commotion was all about over at the junction.
This saddens me as I think the ‘FRU’ were TOO MUCH in handling this matter. Where is the justice? Not bloody justice, but JUSTICE! Is this what you call Malaysian law enforcer?
Whoa I’m loving it! Malaysian police can beat up any joker by the street anytime..
They are suppose to be protecting each and everyone from beach each other…
Now, they are the one beating every tom, dick and harry on the street…
Wait.. this is not the first time.. come on.. give it a Google and you will be entertained with wonderful videos and news for half-a-year.. maybe longer… I can’t tell..
I would bloody drive past those fuckers and even if I HAVE to knock some fuckers down I will do it! Dude! You are in a situation where you have two companion with you and you are driving, and a horde of “Fucked-up Reserve Units” are surrounding your cars and hitting your cars with baton and trying to get you out of your car and hell you know you are going to be beaten. What would you do? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! No?
I would say he was shocked and lost and don’t know how to do and have much respect to the “Fucked-up Reserve Units” that he thought he would negotiate his way or even give them an apology!… FUCK NO man..
THEY BEAT THE HELL OUT OF HIM AND HE IS IN THE I.C.U.!!!
WTF! BBQ! KNN! CCB! MCH!

totally bloodied…
Thanks to the “Fucked-up Reserve Units” aka Federal Reserve Units…!!
Peacekeepers by lubang buntut! PFFT!!!
I wouldn’t risk myself in the ICU when I can sense the danger and when eventually in the video that we can clearly see that at some point he can just drive away and don’t mind knocking some of those idiots at the side because in the end, he can go and lodge for a police report of police assault… that also.. sigh.. That’s Malaysia for you man!!
I pity Chang and I cry for Malaysia…

GK3 and YSEI
Dec 17th
These two abbreviation groups are the movers and shifters of the future as I would put it.
GK3 stands for the third conference of Global Knowledge Partnership held in our country
soil just the past week at KLCC while YSEI stands for Youth Social Enterprise Initiative.
YSEI has launched recently a book called,
.jpg)
This event saw more than 1,500 participants from all over the world coming together
with their visions, mission and innovations to change the world for a better future.
I heard so much about GKP prior to their arrival here in Malaysia. Much of only what
I read in their website and reading everything they do for a better tomorrow to many.
YSEI on another hand is a group of youth which I read on the GK3 website so much
that I made a point I should go to the GK3 exhibition to find out more about them.
I met this guy named Bruno, who was more than willing to tell me more about YSEI
and also about Young Social Entrepreneurs. I was given a book from their booth entitled “Startup and Change the World“. This book is marvelous!

Click picture to link to the download page.
This book is a great guide to those who wants to start a Social Enterprise and you might
be asking what is Social Entrepreneurship? In this book it is defined as follow:
ability to forge a new, stable equilibrium that releases trapped potential or alleviates the suffering of the targeted group, and through imitation and the creation of a stable ecosystem around the new equilibrium ensuring a better future for the targeted group and even societty at large.
Deep stuffs? hah.. not so I would say. To know more about Social Entrepreneurs all
around the world and what they do, head on to their playground at futureshifters.
These are some of the pictures I took while I was there.

This is what Alcatel-Lucent to help rural communities to get access to technology.

This is the board where Social Entrepreneurs can post and share their work.
Pretty impressive huh? It is all in the mind and it all begins from there..
Just a small idea, possible or impossible, it will spark some change, small or big..

Youth 4 Change!!
Oct 20th
There is a group within us that we do not know much about has born..
Thanks to the initiators Khai Loon and Yee Ling…
Youth 4 Change’s main objective is to encourage youths to be active in
political agenda and also to pursue for a more transparency and democratic
government and local governence.
Read more about them at http://y4c.seacem.com
I was invited to one of their open public forum on New Economic Policy(NEP)
and “ASLI Research on Bumi Equity”. It was very eye-opening and to me,
more youths should be encouraged to join this kind of open discussion..
Some of the pointers we talked about during this forum are mainly on how
NEP was constructed and the hidden agendas behind NEP and also the ASLI
report on bumi equity share which was much being talked around the country.
The ASLI report was being viewed only at one point but there are also many
other point that we can view the report and one of the was the methology
ASLI used on their research.. and ASLI was being shot because of their report
that was “pressume” WRONG by the government.
What is so important about bumi-equity anyway, in my own opinion.
No matter how much you champion 30% of bumi-equity, the country has
not seen tremendous growth just like Singapore or any of our neighbouring
countries whom are doing far better than us!!
Another main pointers also is the involvement of Youths in day-to-day agenda.
Mainly in how our country is being run and the local governence..
We elect our representative to run and rule our country, but in the end, we
are being stabbed at the back for not getting much and benefit from them
being appointed because in-fact appointing them benefit them the most.
We all can make a change we know what is going and and we all take care
of our surrounding. Looking at our current situation in our government, we
all need change. BADLY…
