Samsung Galaxy S II – Reliable, Fast & Stylish
Sep 24th
This is just a sequel to my previous post The Galaxies.
Well, Jun guessed it right that I am gonna go with Samsung Galaxy S II. If Samsung ever gonna come up with Samsung Galaxy S III, with better specs of course I will get it without doubt.
Many friends have raised their doubts towards the brand particularly of Samsung, well not I. A little bit the hard sell, but I’ve been a proud user of Samsung for more than 5 years.
But, let me just share the things I like about this phone that sums the Reliable, Fast & Stylish.
1) Android – Google & Open Source
I can go on and on about how Android could be your better option. These are the applications that I used mostly.
I use Polaris Office pretty much on the go basis for work.
I use TweetDeck to keep my sanity at below danger level while I spy at other people’s daily life.
I’ve got plenty of Google Email account and my contacts are all sync with Google.
QuickPic as I camwhore and snap throughout the day.

2) Powerful Processor!
This monster is a Dual-Core 1.2Ghz running on Android version 2.3 Gingerbread. The phone’s performance is just magnificent. I can’t complaint much except the battery drains like crazy that I have to charge my phone twice a day.

3) Business Tools – Polaris Office!
This application, Polaris Office comes with the phone. This is just another great tool to help in my business. I can read, create and edit document just as I can on PC. Not many devices carry this application as it is an OEM application. Hence, Samsung Galaxy S II is just great for business people like I am.

4) Kies Air!
This is just another great tool by Samsung which allows me to move files to my PC easily, as compared to the previously chunky Samsung Kies which is just plain pain but great improvement here! I need to get things done fast, snap picture and post just like how I am doing now!

5) Camera & Video
Excellent quality of pictures and video that is satisfactory to me. This is a picture of the ancient city walls and entrance gateway to Toledo city in Spain.

Check out also the video I took at night when I was in Madrid.
There you go! I’ve state my claim on why I like my Samsung Galaxy S II.
Many more great products at Samsung U-nivez for Ur liking to suit Ur style.
If you are a Samsung Galaxy S II user or you are a fan, why not share your affections here at Love Galaxy S II.
This microsite is all about fun fun fun…

Maybe I should do a video about it. What do you think?
The Galaxies

It has been a journey since I got my Galaxy S. I had 3 Galaxies with me once.

Guess which one I am using now?
Super W1ggy by P1 4G
Nov 23rd
You see, I have never cease to admire Green Packet in it’s venture to provide great mobile data services. That is why I have been a true follower of their service and innovations.
I am sure you have heard about their latest innovation, Super W1ggy. If you haven’t let me tell you about it.
Come, let me show you their plans. Their plans, starts from RM 59 but I still think their RM 129 package worth more and it’s value for people who are constantly on the move, just like me. You can view more details at P1 Website.

I mean, I am always looking for a better way to get connected and I used to have Celcom. But then again, sometimes, it is good, sometimes, it is not. I then switched to mobile internet when I got my Samsung Galaxy S which can be used as Mobile AP. When I got my hands on P1 4G SUPERW1GGY, I straight away went mobile with it.
So, still not convinced that this should be the plan for you? See, this is the speed at Bangsar!
So, what you waiting for? Check your coverage and sigh up now!
Note that different area different speed ya. Make sure you decide nicely with your 7 days money back guarantee grace period okay? Don’t say I never tell you!

Samsung Galaxy S
Jul 1st
If you would have noticed that I’ve been blogging very often these few days, even when I am traveling. The secret is that I’ve got a new phone. The Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000), an Android phone. iPhone can take a back seat for now, as I’m enjoying this phone very much.

There are a few applications that comes with Samsung Galaxy S which I like are:
1) Office Mobile

I’ve gotta love this application. I can now edit my files and read documents and work even while I am abroad.
2) Google Maps

While in Malaysia and even away from Malaysia, this Google Maps on Samsung Galaxy S has been helpful. Trust me, when in Nigeria, this tool is really helpful to note where I am.
3) Social Life comes Alife

With this Android phone, I can be more active with Social Networking Sites (SNS) and be in touch with the world! Emails is very important and I can check my mail instantly while on the road and when I’m back to the office, I can start working immediately as I’ve cleared my emails.
What more can I ask for from Samsung Galaxy S? It has everything I need at the moment to keep me moving.
Key Specification of Samsung Galaxy S:
:- 4″ Super AMOLED Display (Really bright!)
:- 1Ghz CPU Speed (Good for multi-tasking)
:- Android 2.1 Eclair
:- 16GB on board memory (Loads and loads of movies to be stored)
:- 119g only (Seriously… very light)
:- 5mp camera which is capable of taking HD Videos (No shit!!!)
:- All types of connectivity from 3G to even TV-Output
Oh, and if you are trying to connect your phone to your PC, it may not work, go to this site and download Samsung KIES (click). Install the software and it should run smoothly. Should the software prompts to download, click “YES” and update your software.
Maybe I should share the apps that I used so far which has been interesting.
Will continue with my Nigeria experience soon… Watch this space..

Cheaper Call Rates with iTalk Whoa!
May 28th
I’ve been recently making a lot of international calls. Some are to friends and some are to my clients and suppliers from oversea. Well, that’s what I get for working in the travel industry. The world is my classroom yo!
My last trip to Phuket, I was using the iTalk Whoa to sms back home using local Malaysian rate. Thanks to technology, I can do so. I even got to call home at local Malaysian rate. How cool is that man?
Then recently, a blogger friend told me about iTalk Whoa’s IDD and told me to check it out. He told me that it saves him a lot of money while calling Singapore and boil porridge with his girlfriend.
Feeling the itch, I did gave it a check and trust me when I say this. iTalk Whoa’s IDD rates are a lot cheaper and I mean a lot with capital A!
I’ve pretty much compared the rates for IDD by three big telco giants here in Malaysia. I’ve got a wider understand how these telcos charge and what not, but afterall, iTalk Whoa’s plan got to be the most comprehensive and not forgeting, cheapest!
Here’s a table of comparison I’ve made based on the few countries that I frequently call.
| Country/Telcos | Orange | Green | Yellow | Blue** |
| Australia | RM 0.81 | RM 0.99 | RM 0.93 | RM 0.92 |
| India | RM 0.50 | RM 0.62 | RM 0.62 | RM 0.62 |
| China | RM 0.11 | RM 0.43 | RM 0.43 | RM 0.48 |
| Hong Kong | RM 0.14 | RM 0.50 | RM 0.43 | RM 0.48 |
| Thailand | RM 0.35 | RM 0.43 | RM 0.43 | RM 0.48 |
| Indonesia | RM 0.32 | RM 0.33 | RM 0.72 | RM 0.72 |
| Nigeria | RM 1.35 | RM 2.39 | RM 1.28 | RM 2.28 |
| South Africa | RM 0.70 | RM 2.39 | RM 2.38 | RM 2.28 |
All call rates are charged based on per minute
** Promotional rates till June 2010
Look at how much the difference is? It’s like literally WHOA! I wouldn’t believe it until I compare and see it with my own eyes. I feel cheated for not knowing it earlier that I could save a lot more with iTalk’s IDD. What more even with iTalk Whoa’s IDD rates.
Now you know eh! I ain’t no lying to you my friend. You really gotta check it out.

The “New Media” Marketing
Apr 10th
That’s what most people are calling it nowadays with the emergence of Blogging, Facebook and now Twitter. Well that’s just based on my own personal daily consumption or rather contribution to the new media.
Today, I spent most of my mornings reading Sales Machine and more about Sales and Marketing on BNET. There’s a reason for my thrill on reading. It is in preparation for something really big. Fingers crossed and I just hope to get it.
From BNET, I found a remarkable speaker, also the Chief Marketing Officer of Eastman Kodak Company, Jeffrey Hayzlett.
Jeff Hayzlett speak at 140Conference in LA.
Totally loved the way he speaks and there’s lots to learn from this remarkable figure.
Can’t get enough of Jeffrey Hayzlett, I went on to Google his name and stumbled to lots more interesting stuffs about him. Great guy… Google him yourself.
I found 5 interesting video of Jeffrey giving out some marketing and sales lessons. They are all here on www.50lessons.com. Head over to watch the videos. I bet you will never regret clicking that link.
Then, while reading Sales Machine, I stumbled upon this short film done by Saatchi & Saatchi Canada for the FITC event in Canada.
The Last Advertising Agency on Earth.
Great video I would say…
I find the “new media” very amusing at times and it gives us the real account of every individual’s life and also what are the corporate companies are doing with the new media is something interesting for us to track and watch.
There are some corporate companies created their Facebook or Twitter account to handle complaints, while some are just making use of it to blast their marketing ads which I sometime finds them annoying. Some really engage with the crowd while some is just there for show.
What’s the correct way to handle a “new media” tool? None. There are no correct way to handle them, but there are lots of proven ways how these “new media” helped businesses to engage with the crowd.
Okay. Time for me to head out and get things done for the day…
Whoa! I Can Talk More Now with TM iTalk
Apr 7th
Whoa! Now, I can call anywhere in the country or in the world for a very cheap rate. That’s not all about iTalk Whoa!. I can actually link everything online in one single platform.

What’s iTalk Whoa! you ask?
It is a Unified Messaging and Convergence platform providing single-point access to Messaging & Collaboration systems. You can make calls just like Skype to any possible countries and the rates are just as attractive as making a call from your normal iTalk with a phone. They also have a range of other features which I will list them below.
iTalk Whoa! has an interface that connects the following features:
- Webmail
- Push eMail
- Calendar & Task
- Instant Messaging
- Web SMS
- Synchronization
- Integration Framework (Facebook, Twitter, Gtalk, Gmail, Myspace and etc.)
I’m liking the feature which enables me to SMS or make a call to any phone numbers in Malaysia via my PC. Very convenient. What if my phone died out of battery and I’m still connected. Just the phone numbers I need to add it into the list.

See… I like this SMS system because while I was in Phuket recently, my company phone got barred and I used this system to send SMS out and I am only charged local rate, while I’m oversea. How cool eh?
Oh, did I mentioned also that when you sign up with iTalk Whoa! now, you get RM 5 credit for trial? Yes! I kid you not! Give it a try and if you don’t, let me know I will double the RM 5 for you!

I’ve already got my account activated and got my RM 5 credited into my account too.
But, I would like to inform you one thing. The website, www.italkwhoa.com is ONLY COMPATIBLE with Internet Explorer 6 and above with Flash 10 capability.
I know you Firefox or Google Chrome users will go, “WTF!”. Same here, but I’m here to give constructive criticism and hope the tech team that builds the website of www.italkwhoa.com will acknowledge the need to make this site compatible with not only Internet Explorer but other web browsers too!
So, what you waiting for? Head over to www.italkwhoa.com and get WHOA! now!
