The one reason why I want to be in Slovakia on every Easter Monday is because of what my lovely friend Mirka said:

In Slovakia boys pour water on girls – why? They say to keep us healthy & beautiful, but imagine cold water, sometimes they even shower you in your clothes… veeeery funny – but I suppose that only for boys. And theeen, they beat us with sticks made of willow tree branches, with some ribbons on the top – why? I forgot, but would say it`s also smt. about keeping us healthy… haha, good excuse for everything, huh As if this wasn`t enough, in the end they pour some (usually cheap & strongly smelling;)) parfume on your hair, so at the end of the day, your hair smell like parfumerie and for this all guys get chocolate eggs, sweets, money & older ones even shots… how unfair is this, right???

Give us boys a chance to “hit” on every Slovakian girls there… why not eh?

That’s all for today. Byes…

Okay… backdated posts are all coming out… Wheee…

You know what’s 1Malaysia?

It is that my Muslim friends out of sudden made plans for Christmas BBQ.

The equation of Muslim and Christmas may be hard to be accepted by many, but not with me nor us The Boys which consist of 3 Muslims, 1 All God Believer/Non-Believer and 2 Christians. Guess which is who?

There you go… The Boys doing some rituals… I guess so…

So here we are, celebrating Christmas in 2009 with a small BBKill fest…

Oh… I don’t think I will have any issue using the word “Allah” in front of them. The unwritten pact is, we respect each others’ believe and learn the differences between our Islam and Christianity.

For the past 20 years, I’ve learnt that we are both brothers and sisters in God’s name.

Do you believe in dreams? No?

Well, I do now as of a moment ago…

A while back, I had a dream. A dream that shows me a reality that I did not want to accept. I was and am so stubborn that way. What do you do when people tell you that “Hey! This house is not safe.” and you know and you’ve made your survey that this is “the” house and it is safe base on history? You buy the house right? Well at least most of you will…

Stubborn. I guess that is me. I am born stubborn. My middle name should be stubborn. Making it Thomas “Stubborn” Yap. My mom has the most headache out of my stubbornness. Well, I guess not only my mom but most people. Even The Director hates me for this fact. But I’m stubborn with a purpose. The purpose to accomplish a mission yet unknown to me.

I was stubborn enough to not accept that my mom insisted that I should go to local University instead of college. I am where I am today and I wouldn’t have gotten what I’ve gotten in college if I went to University. Maybe, there could be a better opportunity there, but who knows? God knows.

Well… today officially my dream comes true. Because I was stubborn…

Plus, I was so stubborn that a friend of mine reminded me not too long ago that it will not go well and there were plans for me to follow made to make it well. I didn’t conform to that plan, because I was stubborn yet again. This time, I was stubborn because I knew it will not be right for me to go with that plan. Because, even if it does make it right, it will still not be right. You get me?

God has his plans right? God has his own way in showing us the truth right? If I’m a believer in Him, I sure do believe that what happens in our everyday life is in his own plan. Making us believe the real truth, making us see it with our own eyes, putting the news right in front of our face as stubborn as we are, He will do it to open up our eyes. God is great.

Sigh… I always get this… Always…Why!?

Heh.. irony but I still remember what you, Nadia, said to me back then in college at Uma Curry House. Those words stays strong in me, up till now. How I wish I can say that you lay a curse on me with those words, but no. What words? It starts with “You always…” I’m sure you can remember.

It is just me being me… and how do I get rid of my middle name? Heck! My middle name doesn’t even start with “S”. Yes, I do have a middle name for those of you who never knew.

Yeah! How do I get rid of my middle name? I don’t know… God knows.

YearrggccchhhhH!!

So much has been written or posted about this guy called Gary Ng from Singapore. Some call him Singapore’s Edison Chen. My source of news is from Joshua Ong’s post “Singapore’s Edison Chen Gary Ng“. You can go and find other sources for links and video. You will not get it here on YapThomas because I don’t have it myself too.

From what I read, this Singapore’s Edison Chen reminds me of one of my friend. I knew him long time ago and he is a friend from Holy Redeemer Church (HRC). Back then, it was 2001 or 2002 if I am not mistaken. The youths at HRC started to deteriorate, because most of them either started working or they went to other churches. Many people tried to help to revive the youth and one of the activity that was held is a monthly meet for youths in Taman Berkeley and Taman Eng Ann BEC.

It was the first run and it was held at the Johnson’s home (not the real family name). So, the Johnsons’ got four kids and all of them are active in youths back then. Not now anymore. It all started with a quote from the Bible and then some sharing and we finally came to a topic of youth, sex and religion.

One of the sharing was how we are taught sex is a sacred gift of God and should be kept sacred till Holy Matrimony (marriage). Then, it went on as how the youths should set an example in the teachings of the Bible.

Jeremy (not his real name), then voices his view on HIS believes in sex. He said that sex is like a trophy on the wall for him. It is one of the many experience that many youths nowadays enjoy and practice. It is what brings two individuals together, stronger. Sharing the love of God. Those are what he said that night.

I remember clearly he said “You see, it is like a trophy on my wall. The more girls, the more trophies. It’s MY wall of fame. I don’t want to go out there and people will laugh at me because I haven’t had sex before!!”. It was clear that night, Jeremy had too much to drink. He sat in, gave his very own views. Satisfied and walked out. Those present were all shocked with his comments and views. Many of whom are present were much younger in their teens. Some giggled and some just kept quiet, lost of words maybe.

I wouldn’t disagree that many youths nowadays would take it that way. They feel that it is a glory and fame that they should obtain. So many peer pressure out there in competition to achieve a high rank in their very own “hall of fame”. No wonder, there are even orgy parties held during New Year’s Eve.

That time, I find Jeremy’s comment disgusting and I still is, to this day.

or so I thought. That’s all I have to say. Its all out to lure horny men to watch this movie.

I wonder how can they pass this movie for children above 13. It should be above 18.

Talk about banning concert of too sexy artist, I bet the censorship board was all made up of males who are so hook on this movie that they just sign the approval right after their internal preview without any question asked. That’s my assumption, don’t quote me! hahaha. Or maybe they lack the PAS youth wingers in the censorship board to approve the ban, which, of course we do not want them there!!

So, House Bunny. I thought it is gonna be a chic flick kinda movie. I was proved wrong when I am in the cinema right when the movie starts. But, it has a lil’ chic flick element with lots of booby actions… hahaha
What? See at least I’m honest…

House Bunny, as adapted from IMDB, is about Shelly, a Playboy bunny, is tossed out of the mansion, she has nowhere to go until she falls in with the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. The members of the sorority – who also have got to be the seven most socially clueless women on the planet – are about to lose their house. They need a dose of what only the eternally bubbly Shelley can provide… but they will each learn on their own to stop pretending to be what others want them to be and start being themselves.

Shelley is being introduced to the Zetas…

Her first attempt to get attention from the students…

These few days I can’t have a good night sleep. Heck! My wet dreams also gone!

I find the need to consult everyone’s opinion about this matter as I don’t think I could
handle it well enough with many reasons to begins with is ME myself.

It is pretty much a domestic matter I am facing these past two days. The situation goes.
It is a situation I am facing with my house mates and they are couples. I shall leave them
as couple A and couple B. My apartment is very “muhibbah” where I have Malay,
Chinese and Indian living under one roof. Couple A is a mixture of both and couple B is
just one race.

I moved into my apartment since September 2006 along with couple A whom I have
met through a friend of mine. They have been great house mates and I have no matters
living with them, even they are both from different race and one of them being a Muslim.

We stayed there for like nearly half-a-year till I got couple B to come in and share the
unit as they are also looking for a place to stay where their workplace is very near.

Over the past one year, we face small matters of sensitivity of couple B bringing friends
over and the malay house mate always invite her friend over. Well, being in Malaysia
and with all the syariah this and that it is hard to a non-muslim and a muslim to stay
together unless they are married. Because of this that person wants to lay low and try
not to let many people know they are living together. That was bygone story.

The real deal is, recently couple B went and bought a dog and decided to keep it at my
apartment. I was not told, I was not consulted and I only knew about it when the dog
was brought back. Immediately, I knew it is gonna cause a ruckus and me being the
middle person between this two couples I have mediate things up.

Ms. A is not very happy because she being a Muslim dogs are considered unclean in
their teaching. I will not doubt that because childhood friend of mine shared it with
me before. I seek more answers regarding Muslim and Dogs and I find many
arguments are being stated seeking the true fact on their Prophet’s teaching. Today,
when men are wiser and thinking is more open, I find another understanding towards
Dogs in Islam.
I just couldn’t understand why couple B don’t know about this little fact?
Ignorant or not, I try very much to understand other’s religion and beliefs as that is
also part of my teaching as well. It is a sense of respect and considerateness towards
the other Muslim/Buddhist/Hindu party.

In my case, couple B take no heeds in their understanding and consideration towards
Ms. A’s feelings as she is rather not so open minded kind of believer. When I told
Mr. B that I prefer not to have the dog in the apartment, I was told I am bias and
unfair and have not told them about it and putting it in a way that I am chasing them away from the apartment because of it. How could I be bias as I am acting on the
basis of dogs are not allowed in resident apartments. I do not want to be fined because
of problems not created by me and also they are not master tenant as I AM.

When I asked Mr. B to be more considerate towards Ms. A’s religion and I was told
not to talk religion to them as they said the biggest sin is them. Referring to couple
A whom are Muslim and non-Muslim living together. I find this thinking pretty much
shallow and that really threw my much respect towards him.

While that was being said, Ms. B put it in a way that it is their room and their right
to keep the dog in the room. I have totally no answer to this statement plus, I do
really pity the dog as both of them are out for work morning till evening and leaving
the dog in the room all alone will of course lead the dog to bark and thus disturbing
other neighbours. I was told the dog is very quite and don’t bark randomly. -_-

What disgust me is that couple B never even asked me about getting the dog and I
told Mr. B about it and his reply is. A photo was showed to Ms. A and she never
mentioned anything so we thought there are no objection to us getting the dog.
Again, that is just plain stupidity and dumb. Ms. A never wanted to say anything
because she don’t want to make a fuss out of it while letting me know first and see
how I can change their mind in getting a dog. They got the dog the night itself. sigh.

I am now stuck in between being nice and mean as I can’t be mean as I just don’t
know how and I JUST CAN’T! I was told I need to and I must in this situation.
Couple B has been talking about moving out because of the tense situation and I was
told by March they will be gone. Couple A is having the thought I am kicking them out
because of this matter and I am siding couple A.

I have two dogs back home in Klang and I love them very much. It is just I find it is
really not appropriate to have a pet dog in a resident apartment and it is unfair to
Ms. A as we are all living under one roof.

I have had my tolerance and enough being considerate to both parties!!!
It is either now I shall put my verdict as the dog out or them out. Either way, if couple
A is confirmed going to move out, I still will not have the dog in the apartment. I just
couldn’t open my mouth and just say “I’m giving you guys one month to look for
another place to stay” because I do not want to spoil my friendship with them. sigh.

WHAT SHOULD I DO!???

UPDATE!
I have made my verdict that from now on, everyone in the household listens to me.
I haven’t got any reply from anyone since I left a big huge note with English and BM.
Yes, Bahasa Malaysia and don’t play play okay.. I was commented that my bahasa
is better! muahahaha. It was more of my verdict and my verdict is
1) The dog gets out of the house
2) No more visitor to the apartment. Unless unanimous consent from everyone.
