It's all about my travel experience and things I love to do…
Rants
Tired and Fed Up
Oct 27th
Sometimes I don’t even know what the hell I am doing…
I’m tired and fed up of myself!
Not that I don’t love myself. It is just that, I don’t know…
I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing.
I don’t know if I’m fighting the right battle.
I don’t know how long I can stay on like this.
I don’t know why I have to learn through the hard way.
I don’t know why shit always happen.
I don’t know why the past keeps haunting me.
But I know that God knows!
I need a change of an environment, but I’m afraid. It is not the comfort that I had but merely, afraid of not knowing what holds for me in the new environment.
Plans were made, but I’m afraid to move forward.
Afraid that I will be making the wrong move.
But, what else can I say. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger eh?
So here I am, bucking myself up yet again and prepare for the next agenda ahead of me. So much that I am trying to do and I think I’m just suffocating myself. I need a breather. I need more space and I need some excitement.
Worst of Bad Customer Service – Old Town White Coffee
Jul 8th
In this post, you will hear me ROAR!!!
As if the term bad is not negative enough I have to term it “Worst of Bad….”
Being in the service industry, I understand how much customer demands service when they are the paying customer and they expect a certain level of service rendered.
Yesterday morning, I took a drive up to LCCT to meet up with Pat and Kim who is on transit to Phuket. I first thought we are gonna be chilling out at Coffee Bean but Pat got pretty much excited when he came out of the Arrival Hall and saw Old Town White Coffee.
I don’t know if it is me or it is just Old Town White Coffee. We are just not meant for each other! The only reason why I would step into Old Town White Coffee is that friends make it a point to meet up there or just randomly meeting up clients and also my landlord. Otherwise, I would just park my car just right outside the shop and leech off their internet.
I remember clearly early this year in January, I was at Old Town White Coffee Mentari Sunway. They bloody cut off the internet connection! I was right in the middle of my work and they CUT OFF THE INTERNET! No! I did not leech off them and we ordered drinks!
So this time, what’s so bad or worst about Old Town White Coffee at LCCT you ask?
First, BAD CUSTOMER response. Yes, I know your outlet is packed and people are lining up to get a seat. But I can’t help but to comment that your people are working like turtle. Ordering takes ages! See, there are a bunch of them waiters sitting at one corner, break or whatever at least nod when I raise my hand. NO, they just look at me like I’m just doing hand exercise…

Secondly, RUDE reply. So yes, finally someone is walking towards me and I asked to order. “Can we order?” I asked. “Wait” was the reply. I took a shot of the said person who told me “Wait“. I find that very rude. No “I will attend to you in a bit“. No “Hold on. I’ll come back to you“. No “Please wait sir…“. He is the one on the left facing his back. No nice picture of him, there is no need of it.

Thirdly, IGNORANT Superior. So I ordered half boil egg and there was no one attending to my needs. The waiters are all walking around but NONE OF THEM are attentive enough to look around. So, I go on ’self service’ mode and walked to the counter to grab one. I even said “Your service is so slow here” to this Chinese “supervisor” looking/acting guy and he just smiled at me. He was doing some stock take or what not so I guess he should be someone at the higher rank.

Fourthly, UNHYGIENIC Cleaning Service. This guy below was cleaning the window panel from outside. They way he did the cleaning was so messy that he leaves trails of his cleaning. Like so the unprofessional. Looks like he was just thrown the cloth and wiper and told “Nah, go clean the windows“. Then, he came in and put the pail ON THE TABLE! Hello! People eat with their food on the table and you go and put your cleaning pail on the table! Where is the sense of cleanliness!

Finally, NO WIFI. How can you not have WIFI! Why?!?! Okaylah, maybe you haven’t install. Still new kan? Maybe you applied for Streamyx and I know lah, they are so slow… This one I can forgive.
I can only sum up all the above happened because of the lack of training. Such a wide chain of restaurants but your people are so… speechless. I wonder if their branch in Melbourne is as bad.
OLD TOWN WHITE COFFEE… WHERE IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!????
Okay, I have rant enough…
Come Back!!!
Jun 29th
Yes.. you! Come back…
Why you suddenly leave me alone?
I thought I had you tonight…
You promised to bunk in with me…
Yes YOU DID!
Stop denying!
You told me that you will come early tonight and then wake me up early for work…
But you didn’t keep your promise!
Why?
I don’t want to be all whiny lah. But how am I going to face my Monday?
I knew that if you wouldn’t come and bunk the night with me, you will definitely bug me throughout the day and thus making me feel piss at you…
I don’t wanna be piss at you!!!
How about you giving me a short power-up now?
huh?
MR. SLEEP!
Come back now…!! Pwwwwweeeeaaassseeeee???
Out of Tune…
Jun 26th
My weekend is so screwed…
I just realize that I have meeting at PWTC with all the Malaysian Travel Agent on Saturday morning.
Why screwed? Because I thought KLue Urbanscapes is on Sunday and now I realize it is on Saturday. -_-

I thought last year as Sunday, but in actual fact… it was on Saturday. -_-
Plans made for Sunday was cancelled because of Urbanscapes.
Hmmm…
No time to think of Sunday…
Time to get my things done and enjoy tonight.
What Social Life!?!?
Jun 9th
Just when I want to have my social life back my customers started calling me.
Oh wells.
Plus, I’ve planned this outing with Rue, Ben, CK and Nadia. Haven’t seen them for like ages. But we were sitting separately anyways. Aaron tag along as well.
I’m halfway watching State of Play now and I already out of the cinema. I am so lazy to head back in. Screw the movie. Looks like, I can’t even get back my social life. -_-
Lucky I am sitting behind near the door. Thanks Gabriel! Owe you big time.
While walking out, my friend just randomly comment “Work!”
Seems like my life is all about work. I can’t escape. I can’t run from it.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!
I’m sitting here now at Lecka Lecka. Watching people who have just finished their movie stint walking pass right in front of me.
Sad life I have huh…?
What to do. I’m on the way to dominate the world. -_-
Oh no, I’m actually blogging. I have a life!!! Gah… duh! *slaps self*
Thank You! Idiot!!
Apr 1st
This happened last Friday. I reached home quite late and my parking lot was occupied by a motorbike.
When that happen, of course I will not want to touch the bike and ask the security to help move the bike aside. The security guard took some chain and locks as well, but I told him he doesn’t need to cause I just want him to move the bike. I don’t want to do it myself.
While the guard was with me at the parking lot, two other Malay guys came approaching me. One guy, let’s call him idiot and his companion, and the following conversation happened in Bahasa.
Idiot: Why? You are asking the guard to lock my bike?
Me: I’m just asking the guard to move your bike
Idiot: Then why he carry the chain?
Me: I told him no need, he still carries.
Idiot: Why I always see you park here. Everytime I pass by also you don’t seem to care.
Me: I don’t even know that it is you that stays at this lot.
Idiot: Then why you park here? Where is your lot? Who give you permission to park here?
Me: I park here because the chairman gave me this spot. My spot is taken by others.
Idiot: You don’t simply park your car at other people’s place. Have you asked our permission? You don’t even approach us?
Me: If you don’t want me to park here, please tell me. I’ve been parking at this spot for 3 years and no one dispute it with me at all.
Idiot: I hate people who take people’s spot without asking. I see other people’s car I will sure give it a good time. I see you stay here I don’t confront you only.
Me: Now, can I park here or not? If not, please tell me now so that I can go and find other spot.
Idiot: *starts his motor* Nevermind.. you park lah..
Idiot’s Companion: It’s okay. You take this spot. If you see any car here next time, please go to unit 201 and call us. We will move the car for you.
Me: *dumbfounded* You are okay for me to park here? Sure?
Idiot: You just park…
Idiot’s Companion: It’s okay. Don’t worry.
So, the conclusion from that night was. Okay. I’m allowed to park there. No further dispute.
I went back to my apartment. Worried, that I have to tell the chairman to inform the owner so that I will not be disturb again. Chairman and the owner are friends so that would help solve some problem.
Next morning, I met the Chairman of my apartment joint management body and told him what happened. I was on my way out to Pyramid that Saturday morning. I reached my car and I saw a gift. I’m very sure it was from either one of the Malay idiot.

For 3 years I’ve parked my car there and I don’t have any harm done to my car. Now, because I took his spot, I am given three scratches and I thought it was okay from his tone last night.
I went back to the Chairman and told him what I saw and asked his help to find another spot. I’ve got the message bright and clear.
I found out that he is the new tenant at the unit. Dates a Chinese girl from China.
Now I see him riding his bike like a hooligan around my area. Brings around another Malay girl, since his China girl went back China. Maybe he got too frustrated with her and told her to “Balik Cina” instead?
I don’t know. But this kind of people is a sad case in Malaysia. I thought living under one roof in the same Apartment we all can tolerate each other. No. This idiot decided that he is stupid and dumb to even open his mouth and gave me three years worth of award, three scratches. Now YapMobil has got a tattoo. Nice or not? Maybe I should offend another person by parking at another lot and tell them to scratch the other side instead to balance it out.
When will these people grow and have some freaking brain?
What a fool you are to me! May you ride your bike one day and you fall into a monsoon drain and hope that I will be passing by and stop over and then just smile at you and drive away. You are lucky that I’m not like you, who damages people’s property. I leave u alone. Because YOU CAN’T BE HELP!
So, Thank You, Idiot!
World Class Sustainable Cities 2009
Mar 19th
I WANT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!
I just read about this and I want to go for this so so so so so so so so much!!!
But, must pay. RM 500! -_-
I’m gonna ask if this conference is HRDF claimable. What? I’m stingy that way okay!
World Class Sustainable Cities 2009 (WCSC 2009)

Now, I’ve always love the topic of sustainable development. Wanted so much to continue my studies on sustainable development back then, but the only viable place to take up such course is in South American universities.
Even Queensland University of Technology don’t have a comprehensive course on sustainable development. Even they do, but it is a sub topic under some architectural studies. Oh wells…
One major part of sustainable development I like the most is transportation. Transportation is like one of the many arteries that links the Central Business District (CBD) of a city. Example like Kuala Lumpur, the transportation is choking itself every single day and the CBD can’t even pump properly on a daily basis because of lousy transportation system. Well you get what I am trying to say.
You can see that I have linked StreetFilms under the category of Tourism and Development. I like what they do and their mission.
I feel that, being a government who has the kind of resources and funds, we can even build a better transportation than what we have today. Yes you have LRT, but what is the point of building the network but you ‘planners’ didn’t think about parking space? Dude, how am I going to ride on the train when I can’t even find a ’safe’ spot to leave my car? By the roadside? Might as well drive to the city. Safer. Got parking in the city, but NOT ENOUGH.
You see? Not sustainable enough our city. Good, but not that good.
Now, back to WCSC2009. These are the speaker series this coming 24th March 2009.
Session 1
Singapore – A Livable and Sustainable City
by Long Yee Mun, VP, Surbana Planning Urban Group, Singapore
One Planet Living in the Construction and Development Sector
by Robert Spinks, Bovis Lend Leas, UK
Sydney 2030 – A Green, Global and Connected City
by Patrick Fensham, SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia
Session 2
Branding Our Cities
by Sicco Van Gelden, Placebrands Ltd, The Netherlands
Delivering City Centre Projects, The Cheong Gye Cheon River Restoration Project
by Kie-Wook Kwon, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Korea
Urban Transportation of Singapore
by Choi Chik Cheong, Land Transport Authority, Singapore
Look! We have to learn from our neighbour! Like seriously, why?
Let’s hope our local government authorities and people in our government actually will learn something from this conference and maybe KTM Berhad can finally get someone to run it’s rail like a real business and look forward for a better profit instead of RM1. They made a lost RM 99 million in 2006. It is not even sustainable for the government to keep running KTMB like how it is and keep on throwing in public funds to help KTMB. KTMB NEEDS A RE-VAMP BADLY!
Wonders if anyone from our Malaysian Transport Ministry will go for this WCSC2009.
I want to go. Let’s see how I can pull some strings here and there…
Rancangan Tergendala = Disrupted Transmission
Mar 14th
In actual fact, the direct translation for rancangan should be “plan”.
Hmm… our Bahasa Malaysia is so wonderful… Soemtimes, I also con-the-fuse.
So wonderful that even school teachers could be wrong, sometimes.
Students: Class!!! Selamaaaat Pagggggi Cikggggu.
Math Teacher: Baik. Hari ini, cikgu akan ajar dalam Bahasa Ingeris.
Students: Yay!!!!
(Halfway teaching)
Math Teacher: Ali, can you please recite exercise number 2.
Ali: Two minus one is one…
Math Teacher: WRONG!
Ali: But teacher… It’s correct answer.
Math Teacher: No.. I mean.. It is two push one. Not minus!!
Direct translation
Tolak = Push
*drops dead*
So back to my ‘Rancangan Tergendala’…
I pretty much planned my weekend way ahead. I didn’t want to head back to Klang this week so that I can get things done on Saturday and keep Sunday an open day for any plans or just chill…
My initial plans, for Saturday is…
- Repair my car’s power window
- Change my car’s headlamp
- Send the car for washing
- Buy ironing board cover
- Visit MATTA Fair
- Head over to IKEA for window shopping. (Sales mah)
- Need to scout for home furnitures
- Need to buy window curtains
- Need to look for bed frame
- Pay my MAXIS Bills
- Visit Celcom to sign up for broadband
- Dinner…
But then… I’m in the office till now. -_-
I need to get a life.
No wait. I got a life. Until some people had to take it away from me. Gah!
Nevermind, I’ve got dinner to look ahead to.
Time to run… *babbossshhh*
Living By Technology
Feb 11th
The past two days, I’ve been going so crazy over work.
I made a vow not to open my Gmail, Google Reader, MSN, GTalk and not do any internet surfing. I succeed. But felt contemplated to get online by leeching McD’s internet and made a post. Only did I made a post and that’s it. I swear!!
So, just a few minutes ago, I fire up Firefox and my few pre-set sites opened up.
I see
Hundreds of unread DGMB Thread Mails. These people suddenly got so talkative lately.
Tons of other emails in Gmail waiting for my response.
193 unread blog posts on Google Reader. Yes, I use Google Reader.
13 offline messages in MSN. Err.. sometimes, I appear offline.
Well, it has been busy. I had some not so good sleep during non-sleeping time slots.
It is all coming back again, where the season is catching up and the volume just shoots up.
Say, I’m out of office during daytime and reaches back during late evening.
Opens up my email and voila, another hundred or so waiting. Yes, I deal with more than a hundred of emails a day.
I wonder what will happen when I’m away on vacation next whole week.
I can foresee that when I open up my laptop the following week I’m back. All reminders will start popping up from the screen one by one.
Time to run and head back to paper-work. Ish! I hate paper-work.
