HOT DEALS by Garuda Indonesia to Jakarta, Bali and Yogyakarta
Jun 4th
HOT DEALS BY GARUDA INDONESIA TO JAKARTA, BALI AND YOGYAKARTA.
ALL INCLUSIVE FARES*
JAKARTA ONLY RM 395
BALI ONLY RM 595
YOGYAJARTA ONLY RM 695

If you haven’t flew Garuda Indonesia, it’s about time you should do so. You are getting value for money airfares from a full service carrier.
There are two (2) flights daily on return to Jakarta, eight (8) flights daily on return from Jakarta to Bali and nine (9) flights daily on return from Jakarta to Yogyajarta.
What to do in Jakarta? It’s all about Shop! Shop! and Shop! The malls in Jakarta are like twice or even thrice larger than Mid Valley or Sunway Pyramid. Factory outlet town Bandung is 3 hours away and rest assured that your pocket will be empty by the time to bid Bandung goodbye. Although the traffic is just horrible in Jakarta, but hey, don’t let the traffic stop you from going there as there are not even a traffic at their factory outlets.
What to do in Bali? What else but Sun, Sea and Shop and maybe Massage. Nice beaches at Nusa Dua and Kuta. Great deals of local items at Ubud and even Kuta while you can enjoy nice local food. If you haven’t heard about Bali, time to Google it up.
What to do in Yogyakarta? Some say boring place, some say a great destination. You judge! Have you heard about the largest Buddhist temple which was built 300 years ago before Angkor Wat in Cambodia? It’s called Borobudur Temple and it’s there in Yogyakarta. It’s a great sight and besides that, there are lots of culture and sight seeing to enjoy while you’re there. Give it a shot.

Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare
Dec 29th
Yes, trust me when I say this. I can have access to “Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare”.
How?
Because I’m working in a travel agency!
I’m on a last minute plan to head up north, yes again. This time with Air Asia.
Wanted to fly Firefly because I’ve never flew on it and they have good comments so far. But, Air Asia stole my heart as the air fare that I can get is super cheap!
This is what I get from Firefly.

So expensive, even though it is nearer to my place but still, I don’t mind traveling further for cheaper fare.
This is what I get from Air Asia online price.

Even more expensive, given that I’ve added 20kg baggage and also taken advance boarding and on board meals, it is still expensive compared to what I can get through my system. Look at how cheap it is…

Half the price I can get online. Nyek! Nyek! Nyek! This is so so so cool! Plus, I just only bought my flight. Super last minute right? Even if I buy tomorrow also, the price is fixed and will never change.
Yes. I shall brand this as “Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare” (C). Of course, as a travel agent, we still will charge service fee and what not. In the end, it will still be cheaper than online price. Say, we charge RM 50 for all tickets issued, it totals up to RM 176 and it’s still cheaper than RM 241.
Who says you can only get cheaper price online?
Good thing about this “Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare” is that with the price I’m paying, I’m getting all these:
- Additional 20kg of baggage allowance.
- Meals of my choice.
- Express boarding with seat selection.
- I can change date anytime I want without being charged extra.
You know where to reach me should you feel like trying to grab this deal.
But anyhow, just email travel(at)yapthomas.com for more info.
Disclaimer:
“Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare” is my own term and is a contracted fare with my agency. I’m only using that term of “Air Asia Last Minute Super Value Fare” on my own accord. Don’t sue me.

MATTA FAIR MAR 2009 2 TO GO PRICES
There are more and more promotions during MATTA Fair, but always read the fine prints.

MAS Travel Fair 2009: Bigger! Competitive! Longer!
Feb 12th
MAS Travel Fair is back again this year! Bigger! Competitive! and Longer!
Okay! Okay! I know. I’m few days late in writing up about this. But hey, it’s better than not writing about it eh?
Anyways, this year’s promotion span last longer and it is all online now. No longer they are puting up booth to attract people to buy. It’s 2009 financial crisis year, where everyone is cutting their budget. So, MAS is cutting their budget to throw a big huge fair at any convention center. Thus, giving them the option to pull the promotion longer than the usual 3 days only promotion just like MAS Travel Fair 2008.

This year’s Malaysia Airlines Travel Fare is taking place from 10th till 19th February 2009 so that now, you can have a longer period of time to plan and decide. Enough time to get your leave approved as well. As usual, there is a special travel period and it is from 17th Feb till 30th Sep 2009.
One unique point of this MAS Travel Fair 2009 is that, people in Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam can enjoy the same promotion as well. But, with a different set of pricing for each location. Now, did I just said bigger earlier?
Furthermore, if you have the time you can bundle your purchase with either one of MAS Value Fare domestic routing with the current MATF prices to international destinations.

Remember, before you buy, please read the terms and conditions. Many people just don’t read the terms & conditions and just buy blindly. Which, in the end resulted in all complaints about this and that.
When a service company says *Terms & conditions apply*, you better read them. I’m telling you with such honesty because I am from the service industry and well, let’s just say I’m more transparent with my own set of terms & conditions.

Nuffnang Sharing Session @ The Apartment KLCC
Sep 16th
Last Saturday, 13th September 2008. I got myself an invite to the 2nd Nuffnang Sharing Session at The Apartment, KLCC.
Since I missed the 1st Sharing Session, I might as well go for this. At least I can meet up with one of my team head Muzaffar for the Mister Potato contest. Speaking of it, whatever happen about it eh? Winner?
So, the event started at 6.30pm. First thing I do when I arrive is to look for Alex, a buddy of mine who is the Restaurant Manager at The Apartment, KLCC. Then, continue with the mingling around of newly met bloggers. First person I talked to is Zaidi, he sat at one table alone, so I joined him.
These two people need no new introduction as they work for Nuffnang.

Getting to know each other…
Robb did his obligatory welcome speech and get things started…

Robb: Who wants more ads!! -_-
Let’s go to the food shall we? Coinciding with the Ramadan month, The Apartment whip out a special menu of local and western fusion. Click here for menu listing. I personally like the Beef Rendang the most! The deliciousness just overshot the rating meter! The Apple Crumble was the next best food served. It was just nice…

After everyone was done with their dinner, we adjourn upstairs for the sharing session. No pictures of the establishment was taken, but upstairs is a typical place where one would to spend their night as I would describe. A bar to whip out your favourite drinks, magnificent view overlooking the musical fountain and the gardens of KLCC, cozy seating environment, a small for performances, a merchandise store and heck, they even have a lift to go up one floor complementing the staircase.
We are all seated in a rectangle arrangement to listen to Muzaffar and Mira to share their views, which was about their own blogging “culture”, tips and also their life during Ramadan.

Muzaffar and Mira aka Redmummy…

Sharing by Mira and Muzaffar took 15 minutes each and the session ended with Robb opening the floor to all questions about Nuffnang. Robb took questions all related to Ad placement, eligibility of getting Ads, how the system roughly works, payments and advertorials. That last session by Robb certainly clears the air about the whole system which many are in vague or in doubt about. Certainly, a handful of those who were present are new to blogging as well as to Nuffnang.
Live band performance took place soon after the sharing session was over.

Bloggers all stayed on to mingle and also to understand each other better.

Spot someone you know???
And of course, what else would bloggers stay back for, besides chatting?

the blur Affandi… and he is always correct…

Suthesh knew me through Mae’s blog…

Jocelyn… She is with The Apartment, marketing…
And all this is yet another great event from Nuffnang. A great word of thanks and kudos to both Fairus and Robb for making us all bloggers feel at home. Well, I certainly do feel at home at The Apartment.

Keep it up Nuffnang, a great time I had there to meet new people…
On a sidenote, The Apartment is having their first ever Ramadhan Buffet. Give it a try for only RM 48++ for adult and RM 29++ for children below 12. Food is good and on par to those in Hotels. Why pay more to hotel, while you can enjoy a better meal and view here at The Apartment, KLCC?

Okay, here are the list of attendees…
