Heaven Calls to Luciano Pavarotti
Sep 7th
A great man he is, Luciano Pavarotti, died this morning. Shall we all pray for his eternal peace with our ever loving God. May his soul rest in peace.
News by The New York Times.
Luciano Pavarotti, the Italian singer whose ringing, pristine sound set a standard for operatic tenors of the postwar era, died early this morning at his home in Modena, in northern Italy. He was 71. His death was announced by his manager, Terri Robson. The cause was pancreatic cancer. In July 2006 he underwent surgery for the cancer in New York and had made no public appearances since then. He was hospitalized again this summer and released on Aug. 25.
“The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life,” said an e-mail statement that his manager sent to The Associated Press. “In fitting with the approach that characterized his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness.”
Like Enrico Caruso and Jenny Lind before him, Mr. Pavarotti extended his presence far beyond the limits of Italian opera. He became a titan of pop culture. Millions saw him on television and found in his expansive personality, childlike charm and generous figure a link to an art form with which many had only a glancing familiarity. (more)

Why You, ALONSO!
Aug 5th
Giving you a full support, and how this :
“Alonso stripped of the Hungarian Pole”
WHY!!! ???
The qualifying has been a good one. Just that, why this new controversy of
Ron Dennis, McLaren boss and Alonso and the whole team, being accused of planning
a strategy to let Alonso pass by holding Hamilton back in the pit for about 20 seconds.
I’m sure someone, is planning to sabotage the winning team and winning drive
Just like how Alonso all these is because he is at the top qualifying spot!
GO ALONSO!!.. Come on! Charge from the back and win the Hungarian Race!

Heh, i’m an avid Alonso fan..
Goodbye Yellow Coverage Fellow?
Jul 30th

Serious? I’ve read both in Financial Daily today and TheSun that Digi’s reputed Yellow
Coverage Fellow (YCF) is coming to a sad ending.
In Financial Daily’s feature article written by Joyce Au-Yong, she pointed out that a
fellow blogger by the name APMB-Sam wrote about this sad ending in his blog, which
i am able to find through Google.
Goodbye Yellow Man, the article written by APMB-Sam mentioned that his friend’s
sister told him that DiGi has internally decided to forgo with YCF. No more YCF.
Apparently, his friend’s sister he called “X” is someone holding a “senior position at DiGi”.
“They have decided internally that YCF will be a one off campaign. There will be no more new YCF stuffs to see…”
What’s even more saddening is that this 16 year old “kid” (makes me feel OLD) made
a video out of this sad news in a very very sad manner…
*sobs*sobs*)
I wouldn’t say I would have “insider” news, but let me put it this way.We should all believe in Karma. Reincarnation. A death gives way to a newborn.
You can choose not to believe me lah, because it’s all over the news. Just wait and see.
Iraq conquers!
Jul 30th
You’ve showed the world (bah, mainly Asians) to NOT TO underestimate your
war-torn country! You may accuse them of having nukes, but I bet, if they
make it to the world cup, man, they so gonna nuke your balls flying back home.
The Asian Cup Finals which is being hosted by four nations namely Malaysia, Thailand,
Indonesia and Vietnam saw the victory of Iraq that made quite a bit of history.

Personally, I like the strength of their football team that shows true winning spirit.
Their urge to fight till the end makes them deserve to win this cup.
But, nevertheless, kudos and great game to the Saudis as well. They played equally
good games along with the Iraqis team.
How I wish to see Malaysia holding the cup, but, oh wells, our country team really
need a Brazilian football coach eh?

Don’t flame me for giving much winning congrats to Iraq. I do really fund they played well…

Dear Sir/Miss,
ASSAULT OF STUDENT IN THE PREMISE OF LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY STUDENT ACCOMMODATION, DESARIA VILLA
I would like to bring your attention to the incident that took place in Desaria Villa condominiums on the 11th of July 2007. At 10.45 am, my friend Shariff Zayeem–an international student from Bangladesh–was assaulted in the Desaria Plaza area by 6-10 security guards.
The armed assault was initiated when my friend Shariff Zayeem attempted to bring a friend of his into the apartment without a visitor’s pass. The door guard confronted my friend as he walked in along with three other friends of his (two of which live in Desaria). Zayeem agreed to sign the necessary visitor documents.
While signing, Zayeem overheard the security guards speaking of him vulgarly in their own language. Aggravated, he confronted them on this. A verbal exchange took place for a short period before 5-6 guards charged at my friend with batons in their hands and continued to aggressively attack him. Two of his other friends were also attacked by a few guards.

First: Government wants to raise productivity
Minister in the PM’s department Datuk Dr Maximum Ongkili said
“We are not going to increase the number. On the contrary, we are working towards reducing them,” he said.“There are already 16 public holidays at national level every year. We should reduce them to improve competitiveness.”
There are also state holidays and extra days attached to holidays that fall on weekends, as well as additional holidays declared by state governments for specific events like the birthdays of their heads of state or sultans.
“There are more meaningful and productive ways to celebrate important events and occasions instead of just taking the day off,” Ongkili said yesterday.
Oi!, macamlah if you reduce these holidays productivity will increase! Siao!
Dahlah said wanna reduce but then
He said Sarawak and Sabah want Sept 16 to be included as a national public holiday to mark the day Malaysia was formed, and there had also been calls from ethnic groups for their traditional festivals to be recognised as public holidays.
But then cannot lah, we all Malaysia Boleh weh… Must maintain our record as
highest numbers of holidays in the world for a country.
