Cher – You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me
Feb 15th
Watched Burlesque just a moment ago. Last similar movie I watched was Nine back in 2009.
I can say that Burlesque was brilliantly done. I can’t say that I am a good movie critic like many others out there, but if asked what would be about the movie I liked about, it would be the story line, music and choreography.
Not forgetting the brilliant vocal of Christina Aguilera and gosh… Cher still has the ooommphh! Plus, I don’t know why most movies/shows Eric Dane is in that I watch, he has to be an ass. Hahaha.
Let me not spoil the movie for those who haven’t watched it yet, as it was released since last November 2010 and now only in Malaysia this coming Thursday.
There is this song sang by Cher in the movie that I particularly like.
It’s the part where Tess (Cher) sang the song “You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me” on the way out of her club.
Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there’s just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I’ll get up again
Don’t count me out just yet
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
You haven’t seen the last of me
They can say that
I won’t stay around
But I’m gonna stand my ground
You’re not gonna stop me
You don’t know me
You don’t know who I am
Don’t count me out so fast
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I’m down now
But i’ll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I’m gonna show you all what I’m made of
I’ve been brought down to my knees
And I’ve been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I’ll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
I am far from over
You haven’t seen the last of me
No no
I’m not going nowhere
I’m staying right here
Oh no
You won’t see me begging
I’m not taking my bow
Can’t stop me
It’s not the end
You haven’t seen the last of me
Oh no
You haven’t seen the last of me
You haven’t seen the last of me
Tell me you liked the song too. This song brings many meaning to me.
I’ve been pushed way to a breaking point that I had to struggle very much (which I still am) and to venture into a business of my own which is not an easy task given the financial support which was the main issue.
On a point where I would be most likely be spending time behind bars and times where financial institutions would profile me as “high risk”. These are all history.
Also on how I was being treated and taken advantage of when it comes to trust. Not only that, but in relationships with family friends and opposite gender.
Those are just a few of the many that I had to endure, but no, it will not stop me from going forward.
You haven’t seen the last of me, yet and I think you all should do the same to!

What’s your 2010 song?
A Ticket on Runaway Train
Feb 5th
I’ve got this on draft for a long long long long long (x 200) time…
I guess it’s about time I put this up. Haha.
Since, the “feeling” that I had when searching for this music is now gone.
Anyways, this is a great song by Soul Asylum, originally by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Load the YouTube and enjoy.
Call you up in the middle of the night,
like a fire flower miles away,
you were there like a blow torch burnin’,
I was a key that could use a little turnin’
So tired that I couldn’t even sleep,
so many secrets I couldn’t keep,
promised myself I wouldn’t weep,
one more promise I couldn’t keep
It seems no one can help me now,
I’m in too deep theres no way out,
this time I have really let myself pull stray
Runaway train never goin’ back,
wrong way on a one way track
seems like I should be getting somewhere,
somehow I’m neither here nor there
Can you help me remember how to smile,
make it somehow seem all worth while,
how on earth did I get so jaded,
last mystery seemed so naked
I can go where no one else can go,
I know what no one else has known,
here I am just a drowning in the brain,
with a ticket for a runaway train
Everything seems judded inside,
day and night earth and sky,
somehow I just don’t believe it
Runaway train never goin’ back,
wrong way on a one way track
seems like I should be getting somewhere,
somehow I’m neither here nor there
Want a ticket for a runaway train?,
like a madman laughin’ at the rain,
a little out of touch little in the brain,
its just easier to deal with the pain
Runaway train never goin’ back,
wrong way on a one way track
seems like I should be getting somewhere,
somehow I’m neither here nor there
Runaway train never comin’ back,
runaway train tearin’ up the track,
runaway train burnin’ in my veins,
run away but it always seems the same
Listening to this song over and over again, it is just something that I realize. Sometimes, I’m neither here nor there too. I’m always looking for a ticket on a runaway train. Looking to hide from the harsh reality but it always never help and I always opt for this way out.
I just need to face the harsh reality and work my way through it. That’s life and we all have to deal with it. I have to do it my style… listen and blend in.
The Proclaimers – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)
Aug 11th
It was one fine Saturday morning when I tuned my radio to LightFM… I heard this music playing and didn’t really pay much attention to the lyrics of this music until recently.
Liked it and I would like to share this wonderful piece of song with you.
I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers.
Read their profile here on Wiki and of course their song sang live!
Nice? Of course it is! This is a one hit wonders we are talking about!
The Proclaimers – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)
When I wake up yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who goes along with you
If I get drunk yes I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you
And if I haver yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s havering to you
But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door
When I’m working yes I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I’ll do
I’ll pass almost every penny on to you
When I come home yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who comes back home to you
And if I grow old well I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s growing old with you
But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door
When I’m lonely yes I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man whose lonely without you
When I’m dreaming yes I know I’m gonna dream
Dream about the time when I’m with you.
But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

The Passing of a Great Storyteller
Jul 27th
I couldn’t bear the truth that Yasmin Ahmad passed away over the weekend.
I was watching Harry Potter when I was told about the news.

It is very the saddening to hear that one of our country’s very own talent has left us to be with God.
I am a great fan of hers and come on. How can you not like her movies!?
Last week I read her last blog post on The Storyteller, Part 2.
She posted a song by Maria Callas, an American born Greek soprano.
She wanted to use this song in one of her another film project, Wasurenagusa or also known as “Forget Me Not”. This is a Malaysia/Japan collaboration that bag the top Prize in Pusan last year.
Wasurenagusa is a long awaited project after Talentime. I’m hoping that someone can finish her this final piece of work in memory of her.
So this is the song in YouTube which was also found on her blog.
But I think, this is for her instead…
Rest In Peace, Yasmin…
Love Story meets Viva La Vida by Jon Schmidt
May 4th
New Age Classical has always been my cup of tea. I totally like this piece by Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson.
Jon Schmidt is an American pianist I came to know about back when I was young. Days in the Sunset is the album that I have and that’s when I knew about Jon Schmidt. Others in the same league of New Age musics are the like of Jim Brickman or Yanni.
Now, watch this video and tell me if you love it as much as I do.
LOVE STORY (Taylor Swift) meets VIVA LA VIDA (Coldplay) – Piano Cello – by Jon Schmidt
One word to describe it. Wonderful…
Can someone teach me how to play the piano please? :p

Kenny Roger’s The Gambler
Mar 8th
Good Sunday everyone. The past 24 hours has been a great one.
Let me present to you this wonderful song…
The Gambler by Kenny Roger
On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, son, Ive made a life out of readin peoples faces,
And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.
So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see youre out of aces.
For a taste of your whiskey Ill give you some advice.
So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, if youre gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
Now evry gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause evry hands a winner and evry hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

The Show by Lenka
Mar 2nd
I shall take a break from blogging on my usual and introduce you this very the wonderful happy song. So I thought.
I heard this song while I’m in Australia last whole weekend. I just heard a little bit of the lyric and I Google and found out it was by Lenka who is an Australian singer songwriter. Read more about her at her official website.
I seriously wish to show you all her music video but, it is copyright by Sony Music. So you have to click the below links to watch them on YouTube only.
The first music video. Very cartoon-y…
The second and latest music video. Also official. Very cute…
But, she did a performance in some late night show. So here goes.
Very nice song. I love it. I love the lyrics. I love the meanings to it. Depends on how you decipher it lah…
Just, love it.
I’m just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze, and love is a riddle
I don’t know where to go
Can’t do it alone
I’ve tried, but I don’t know whySlow it down, make it stop
Or else my heart is going to pop
‘Cause its to much, yeah its a lot
To be something I’m notI’m a fool, out of love
‘Cause I just can’t get enoughI’m just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze, and love is a riddle
I don’t know where to go
Can’t do it alone
I’ve tried, but I don’t know whyI’m just a little girl lost in the moment
I’m so scared but I don’t show it
I can’t figure it out
It’s bringing me down
I know, I’ve got to let it goAnd just enjoy the show
The sun is hot in the sky
Just like a giant spot light
The people follow the signs
And synchronize in timeIt’s a joke, nobody knows
they’ve got a ticket to the
show.Yeah, I’m just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze, and love is a riddle
I don’t know where to go
Can’t do it alone
I’ve tried, but I don’t know whyI’m just a little girl lost in the moment
I’m so scared but I don’t show it
I can’t figure it out
It’s bringing me down
I know, I’ve got to let it goAnd just enjoy the show
Just enjoy the show
I’m just a little bit caught in the middle
Life is a maze, and love is a riddle
I don’t know where to go
Can’t do it alone
I’ve tried, but I don’t know whyI’m just a little girl lost in the moment
I’m so scared but I don’t show it
I can’t figure it out
It’s bringing me down
I know, I’ve got to let it goAnd just enjoy the show
Just enjoy the show
dum de dum, da dum de dum
and just enjoy the show
da dum de dum, da dum de dum
and just enjoy the show
I want my money back (3x)
Just enjoy the show
I want my money back(x3)
Just enjoy the show
Don’t you love this song??
