Happy Moments
Woke up with a smile…
Nov 12th
Now… cue the “I feel good.. tenenenenene…”
Today, I woke up feeling all extra jolly-bolly-good…
Alarm rang. Snooze. Turned around in bed. Alarm rang, again. Snooze, again. Turned around in bed, again. Alarm rang, yet again. Got up. Got into washroom. Pee. Brushed teeth. Bath. Dry up. Ironed shirt. Changed to office wear. Put on tie. Drank milk. Took out trash. Got into car. Drove to work. Used NPE. Cut all traffic. Reached office. Log into PC. Read emails. Read lots of messages while I was away. Worked and now Lunch break.
I woke up a happy person today because of what I did last night.
I totally dump all my work in the office and went to meet my boss who is visiting KL and then chilled at a mall. Two different malls, so to say. Watched MJ This Is It and ditched the movie towards the end for dinner.
Seriously, I don’t think you should spend your money on MJ This Is It in the cinema. It is more like a home movie with chips and coffee. So, don’t waste your money, period!
This morning is like one of the rare occasion that I actually got up looking forward to head to work. Am I like crazy or what you tell me. At the same time, I don’t feel like working at all. Shit, this is like my heart and emotions playing tricks with my brain, again!
Anyways… Jolly-Good-O-Meter now is at its peak at 93%.
Maybe a nice hearty lovely lunch will push it to beyond 100%…
Friday Calls for Happy Moments…
Oct 30th
I woke up this morning realizing that I never had my dinner last night.
Such a sad case. I need dinner plans to keep my stomach satisfied lah.
Dinner anyone?
That aside, it is already approaching weekend and today is Friday! Now you know huh. Thank me for reminding you. *smile* You’re welcome.
I can’t wait to leave to Gold Coast this Sunday and be crazy with my two loves, NuttyAidan and RueJabroni.
The same craziness that we did in Singapore back in 2006.

Hahaha… fun times… More to come this weekend at Gold Coast.
Time for lunch! Catcha ya’ll…
How Not To Love Wednesday
Sep 23rd
This was what I Tweet-ed 3 hours ago…

How can I not love Wednesday when the traffic is so clear!
From Klang to KL within 20 minutes! Fuiyohhhh…
Talk about holiday mode. I’m totally on holiday today. Took the chance to visit banks (Hence, my other Tweet) where it is usually pack with people. I think those who are still in their ‘kampung‘ should remain where they are…

Over the Eid Mubarak break, I cleared my room and found out that I had too many dormant accounts. Accounts which last time I backside itchy go and open because I want to spread all my money into different accounts. Like for example, I will have my PBB for college use, CIMB for emergency use, UOB for “Do Not Touch” savings and etcs…
Looks like my “brilliant” plan failed. Jatuh terbabas masuk longkang…
Anyways… back to Wednesday. Yes! Just reached The Office about half an hour ago. Unpacked. Looked at the traffic below The Office and it looks VERY CLEAR! What traffic! No traffic at all! Like I said, those still in their “kampung” should remain in their “kampung”. hehehe…

Oh, and I’ve got a nice mileage on my car hehehe. Pulled over by the road just to snap this not so clear picture. For the fun of it…

Again, how not to love this Wednesday? I’m already packing to head home.
I’m just hoping that I will love Thursday too… Hehehe
Have a great Wednesday people…

I think my ‘Work’ category is like building up more and more… at 161 count. Including this post, it would be 162 count. On contrary, my ‘Events’ category is at 79. What is going on! Back then about one year ago my ‘Events’ and ‘Clubbing’ category is more than my ‘Work’ category.
OH NO!!!
But wells, after working so hard and roughing it out, this kinda of satisfaction is what soothes everything crazy day…
There was a problem with a client’s partner in Korea with flight arrangements. I can actually ask her to get it sorted out in Korea but I can’t. I don’t usually get down and dirty but this time I had to to make sure their needs are taken care of. I can’t push it to my colleagues either.
I had to be on GTalk chat to sort things out for her…
Client: there was much progress for the last couple of hours. i can travel!!! please email me the e-ticket so that i can confirm the information to make sure everything is correct. thanks so much!!! i think you brought the luck!!
YapThomas: ok. I will send the booking for your final confirmation. Then I will get my ticketing to issue it for you.
Client: received. thanks. I need to come back on Sunday, 26th. If you can make this change now, would you please do it for me? Just let me know. other information is correct. then email me the e-ticket.
YapThomas: Sure do *sends instruction to issue ticket*
Client: i got it and it looks perfect! thank you so much for everything! Let (partner) know about the charges okay. I hope it doesn’t cause you much trouble.
YapThomas: Not a problem. I will settle the payment with him later on…
Client: you were the most helpful and understandable travel agent i’ve ever met…. thanks again. bye!!
Ahhh… the SATISFACTION to sort things out. Plus, this are the kind of clients who don’t stinge on service. I hate it when people ask for so much but then don’t want to pay for the kind of service they want.
What more is that they ask you to do so much and then ask for discount! I HATE this kind of people. What more is that friends are the ones asking for it and they take advantage of that ‘friendship’. Bullsh*t!
I am thought during one service at CHC that if you can’t pay for the service rendered don’t go further. Pay for what you can afford. Just like the saying goes, you pay peanuts you get peanuts.
Same equation that if you want to drive BMW, pay more! You don’t go buy a BMW and then ask discount to the price of Proton!
I shall dwell on a dedicated post on this ‘discount’ thingy later on.
Till then, have a good night people… I’m sure having ‘fun’ now!!…
JOY and LAUGHTER
Jul 7th
Six months of hard work paid off well…
The Owner sent The Office an email…
Received just when I opened my mailbox…
We all just shouted with joy and laughter and what not…
It was pure havoc…
In the sense of happiness…
Seriously… hard work paid off…

Moments…
Jul 4th
Moments like these really brings me to a wide smile…
You may not see it but when you do, you would think I’m a lunatic.
This was at IKEA. The day I bought a rug and a candle holder and a lamp. Did I tell you that I have a fetish for rugs now? I keep on buying them when new designs comes out! -_-

Nothing beats camwhoring in the middle of aisles. Plus no one was around! What? No one will ‘saman‘ me lah. Customer Service Manager my sifu… But then hor… Ish! Someone’s stinking feet destroying the nice picture… :p
Ermm.. this was during the LG Blog Launch… Look at Aronil… !!! Hahaha

Oh no! I’ve just shown the world wide web my feminine side! -_-
This was one fine Sunday that The Boys plsu The Girls celebrated Jun’s birthday. Well, actually it was an invitation. But anyways… take a wild guess who is this…

Then we went into the ‘kawaii’ place to take picture… GOSH! The FUNness…

Look at that girl in front!! Sigh… I need to get a new better quality camera…
Then this was after a CC Team Movie outing…

I can’t for the good remember what movie it was and I was the one who paid for it. This is the sign. The sign that I’m getting old…
and finally… this was the day I crashed the office farewell party of YogaGirl. (There you go. I found a nick for you!)

Guess what sign we are trying to emulate? :p It was the hype movie at that time…
The Hell with Work!!!
Jun 1st
I just came back to the office. I had my whole day running from one location to another and I am ze tired…
I checked my email inbox an there are more than 150 emails to be read. I only opened one from my boss and the one recent mail sent by my accountant and I can say that I have the biggest smile ever! Like, e-v-e-r!!!
Hahaha…
I’m gonna go home and do my laundry, some cleaning of my room and cook myself a nice dinner.
Because, I’ve had enough for the day!
So,
THE HELL WITH WORK!!!
Malaysian Police Asking For Bribe, Indirectly!!!
Apr 2nd
It was after a night dealing with Mr. Freako I was driving back along the Jalan Sungai Besi linking federal highway. I don’t know what road is that. I’m thinking that’s the road that comes from Cheras exiting Mid Valley. Bah.. Nevermind!. That’s not my main point of this post. This post is about our very clever Malaysian traffic police.
I can’t remember how fast I was driving, but I was driving fast. I think I can join F1 already that kinda of fast?
So I saw some blinking lights ahead and I see some police cars on the side.
In my mind, “OKay! The beer was like an hour ago. Shouldn’t be a problem mah”
I reach to the checkpoint, I was directed to the side.
One police officer came walking to my car. I locked my car door and wind down my window to a quarter opening so that we can talk and hand him my driving license. I recommend all of you to do this. Because it is safer and you have your right to stay in your car until you are proven you are guilty and asked to step out of your car.
So, he came to me, and talk to me through the small opening of my window.
Officer: “Berapa laju you pandu?” (How fast you drove?)
Me: *ignores him while taking out my driving license*
Officer: “You pandu banyak laju ah tadi. Lesen!” (You drove very fast! License!)
Me: *hands him my driving license. Took out my camera*
Officer: “Saya tulis saman ya?” (I will write you a ticket okay?)
Me: “Huh?”
Officer: “Saya cakap, saya tulis you saman ya!! (I said, I write you a ticket! Okay?)
Me: “OK. Tulis lah.” (Okay, Go ahead)
Officer: *looks at me dumbfounded. hands me back my license* “Jalan” (You are good to go)
I was like… WHOA! It works!! I remember reading it on YeeHou’s Blog. The trick to avoid getting a ticket. Well not trick lah, but rather the whole not bribing the policeman thingy. Go read his blog.

See, when you ask to be given a ticket, that policeman doesn’t even care and just flag you off to go. The whole purpose of them setting up that roadblock is to get some bribe money of you, I guess. I’m sure with the speed I was driving, I could have been given a ticket without any excuse. The road limit was 80kmph and who in their right mind would drive that slow? Okay lah.. there are others will lah, but heh.. not me at that kinda hour when there are no cars around
The voice blaring out from his walkie-talkie is another policeman, watching somewhere along the bush by the highway along that road, reading out car numbers and their speed. Then, his hand was holding the summon book and I can nicely see that when he ask for my license, there is a sheet of paper on top of the summon book where that policeman will write down all the numbers of the cars that was being stopped or rather that he attended to. Beside the car number was like amount written on it.
It is like a notepad for him to note down the total of “earnings” of the night. More like a “kertas tiga lima” to him I guess…
XXX 1234 – 50
JHG 7654
KJH 8888 – 200
the list goes on and on…
You tell me… if this is not asking for bribe, INDIRECTLY, what else could it be right? If the policeman was ethical enough and is a so call law enforcer, I should be given a ticket. Right? Why flag me away?
So yeah, contribute to the economy a little bit for goodness sake you all. Don’t bribe the police and make them fat. They are all already fat enough and not really efficient with their work. Why pay those lazy policeman when you can just pay the government and help with the economy. Furthermore, you are bound to get some discounts from the traffic police department at random times for you to pay up.
I have to put in a disclaimer here. Not many times this will work. Asking them to write you a ticket just like I do will not get you away. I was just pushing my luck by not bribing him. It works with different police officers with their own personal work ethics. So be warned of this highly unpredictable ‘trick’.
Malaysia Boleh!!
The Long Weekend
Mar 10th
Last Saturday and Sunday has got to be the longest weekend out. I practically clocked more than 24 hours away from home. The long weekend started great, ended great too.
Had to head back to office as there is some issue with 11thFloorOffice. The plan was to open up my system and let the 11thFloorOffice girl finish up the work. No. I had to wait till she finished then only I can leave.
The Girl arrived while I was in the midst of getting my work done. It has been a while since we had our long day outing. Last was, 2006? Wait, I think it was early 2007. Gah! Can’t remember.
Anyways, so late lunch was at Pepper Lunch. We had the Combo Cut Steak & Hamburger. The beef was so hard to chew!!! %#$%#@ But the hamburger was just fine. The bill came to RM 64. Crazy expensive for such lunch. The Girl vowed not to head back there, ever.

No prior plan on what to do was made. I went on with the simple, “Let’s see what we can do there” plan. Which is good. Don’t need to be sorry if any earlier plan didn’t work out.
Movie would be the best way to kill time. I opted for Marley & Me as there were a widespread of reviews on how good the movie is. Read Joshua’s review. I liked this movie. Shows how much we all need to plan for marriage and family. It is not easy to bring up a family, but with perseverance, a couple can strive on to build a wonderful family.

Still full from the late lunch, The Girl got a craving of tea. So we headed to Wong Kok Char Chan Theng. I must say, the setup of this place is very nice. Very very very very nice.

Midway, two plans came up. I need to head over to Sungai Wang to check out on phones and a birthday party to attend at Bangsar. Two of which I only realize while having my tea there at Wong Kok. Thanks goodness that I keep most “important” sms in my inbox, so that I will remember when I read my inbox.
Drove to Sungai Wang, did some scouting for Motorola V3i for my colleague and walked around for a bit.
Birthday girl wanted a chocolate cheese cake and I had to scout for it also. The things I do for my friends. Got it from Secret Recipe. Was about time to leave Sungai Wang for Bangsar and I faced a massive jam on the way out of the carpark. -_-

Took us more than one hour to reach Bangsar from Sungai Wang. Crazy! The jam was just massive lah. Gah! Reached D’Haven in Bangsar to join the others already there waiting. Hope you had a great time there Geralynn. And of course the cake also…

The night ended quick with a quick photo session. Drove The Girl back. Final plan was that to try her homemade coffee. Just to freshen me up before I drive back. Nope. Didn’t work. I slumped on the couch. Was a good sleep after a long day.
Woke up to a note on the table, left by The Girl.

I woke up pretty early on Sunday morning, with a very bad neckache. That’s to my super wonderful sleeping position on the couch. -_- The early morning was dreadful, hence, back to sleep. Woke up again just before noon. The Girl made the promised coffee and it was a good one. A powderful kick to start of the morning.

My turn to crave for dim sum, but it was just so-so only. Gah! I want good dim sum!

Work seems to be haunting me since the start of the weekend and it will not stop, even if it is Sunday. Sigh…

Finished up work and left The Girl’s place. Only to have met a hit and run accident, which I spent my whole afternoon helping the victim. Have to delegate work to my colleague during this ordeal.

What I said about work haunting me again? Gah! I need to put a stop on this matter. I need a better working equipments. A powerful handheld device which I can carry around and get my work done. Maybe a Nokia E71? Samsung Omnia? iPhone? or a Blackberry? Hmmm….
Spent the late afternoon at Starbucks SS2, online and getting my work done. The Boys decided to come up for dinner at Williams. Had Nasi Goreng Special with Two Types of Chicken. Yes, that’s the name of the dish.

The dinner was heavy. I can’t finish it. Jun came to the rescue.
I went back to Klang. Slept for a good 8 hours!
