It’s Christmas today and it is always a good time for reflection for year 2011 and by the time I am done with it, 2012 will be just rolling in at the right time.
It has been a great year for 2011 and even more exciting year ahead for 2012 for me.
Wishing all of you…
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
Okay… backdated posts are all coming out… Wheee…
You know what’s 1Malaysia?
It is that my Muslim friends out of sudden made plans for Christmas BBQ.
The equation of Muslim and Christmas may be hard to be accepted by many, but not with me nor us The Boys which consist of 3 Muslims, 1 All God Believer/Non-Believer and 2 Christians. Guess which is who?
There you go… The Boys doing some rituals… I guess so…
So here we are, celebrating Christmas in 2009 with a small BBKill fest…
Oh… I don’t think I will have any issue using the word “Allah” in front of them. The unwritten pact is, we respect each others’ believe and learn the differences between our Islam and Christianity.
For the past 20 years, I’ve learnt that we are both brothers and sisters in God’s name.
There are a handful of you whom I will always cherish for the memories of 2009.
Thank you for everything and anything…
As we march on to another great year ahead in 2010, I wish you the best of everything… Be it relationships, families, health, wealth, opportunities, work, promotions and etc. it will all be great!
Three more days to Christmas.
As much as I love to have a long wish list, but this time this year…
My only Christmas wish is…
Is that God answers my prayers…
That’s all that I ask and I couldn’t ask for more greater wish than this…
Even so, I’ll throw in my Birthday wish for the above too.
How about my 2010 New Year Resolution too? If it does work…
I’m sure He does read my blog…
I’m sure He hears my prayer…
Just back from 1st Annual Young Corporate Malaysian Summit 2009 and I’m sitting here at Decenter Too, Hartamas. Listing to musics like Wonderful Tonight, Eternal Flame, Titanic Theme Song, Endless Love and all that jazz…
This place is just nice and small… Quite the chilling also lah. On a personal opinion, they can do better with the music. At least throw in some nice chill-out house or some jazz or some instrumental lor. They kept on looping the same music over and over again. It gets boring after an hour or so. Decanter Too should maybe get a MP3 player and play hundreds of songs at one go.
The Christmas deco also already up. I think I would wanna throw a small party here some time in the near future. But only one thing that would make me think twice. The parking space outside is just too limited if I would want to host a group of 20 people or so.
Food wise, it is not too bad. I had the Mixed Grill at RM 30++. Mixed of Chicken, Lamb and Fish. Totally made my stomach happy.
I had a great meal here now with Tocklet sitting right in front of me and it can never be better after a long day at YCMS 2009.
See see Tinki Talks got snow, I also wan snow! But my snow a bit the different wan. Got many three colours wan! Red, Green and Gold! A lot nicer and unconventional, like white.
The genius behind the codings >>> CincauHangus!
Nice or not!?!?!?! Say niceee…..
Good things don’t come cheap… see! Later I go change the code to 30 per drop. Nyek! Nyek! Nyek! I also know coding wan lor…
But then, this Nads has to come and say it looks like Deepavali! T_T
I think she a bit the colour blind yesterday. Don’t blame her.
It really looks joyful lor! Red, Green and Gold… Wheee.
It is also the time spent outside going from one place to another. An eventful day I would say. Thanks, to the few who celebrated with me. Am both glad and happy. (Very long post ahead)
Last year in 2008, it was ‘big-bang’ with friends coming to celebrate the night with me. This year, I decided to take it a step back to chill the night out. I did not have any prior plans and it is all impromptu.
This year, it is rather special, because I did not have any prior plans and it is mostly all impromptu ones. Also, it’s special because I get wishes from a lot of people whom I’ve never met before. Even when I’m in the toilet, this guy came in and said “Hey dude, happy birthday“. hahaha. Wishes also came in by SMS all the way from India, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Brisbane and Melbourne. Woot!… -_-
So, how did the 3rd January 2009 went?
Midnight AM on 3rd Jan, I was doing laundry and happily playing loud musics also toying with the guitar.
Words… don’t come easy…
The sleep was rather tough as well, when I’m suppose to get up early and my only morning call is the phone alarm. I kept on waking up with one eye open to reply SMS and then back to sleep again. O_x Kinda auto-ed… hahaha
Got up early freshen up and rush to Sunway Pyramid to get the children’s gift.
Rushed off to Impiana Hotel and was just in time when the event started.
I see many happy faces… thus, am happy too…
It was seriously great to see the kids I’m buying gifts for.
That’s Christina the 6yr old, Simon the 2yr old and Jacob the 13yrold…
I sat down at the table where most of the elder kids were. I met a lone ranger there too, Esther. Came all the way from Klang. Small world eh?
The kids of Rumah KIDS with all their presents…
Mr. Anbu is still taking care of Rumah KIDS and we chatted a little bit. Rumah KIDS has grown and even expanded to the Subang. Not bad…
Then, a picture with Rex before I left. He announced that it was my birthday that day when I was up on stage presenting the gifts to the children. Hence, all the wishes from a lot of people.
Rex from LiteFm…
Finished the event, I went back to the office and did one quick booking. Yea, I had to work. But it was a hassle free client and booking was done within 10 minutes.
Then, it was church at Sunway after the event at Impiana. Church ended at 7.30ish and then, it was dinner. Dinner was at Yuen’s with two lovely ladies, Pam and Nisha.
Everyone knows that the chicken wing at Yuen’s steamboat is ‘to-die-for’ dish. Whenever you see the lady taking out the chicken wing, you have to make the sprint and grab whatever you can. NO! We didn’t have to do that. Why? It shall remain a secret, right? What’s important was, the chicken wings was great!
So the yummy, we whack twice the lot of the above…
Funny thing was, the two ladies started singing birthday song and the candle was the steamboat. Go figure!
The night ended with The Boys at Werner’s on Changkat Bukit Bintang. Jun called in the morning to ask “So, where do you wanna go tonight?“. Seriously had no idea till evening, where, chillaxin would be the best option. So Werner’s it was.
Sat outside at the patio, chatted and catch-up on the happenings… We ordered Werner’s Special, which is the MUST HAVE dish when you dine at Werner’s. No we did not dine there, but still, a must try!!
Special dessert for special day…
May I recall, it was chocolate, strawberry, ice-cream, nuts and yogurt. It was just YUMMY!
Yet again, birthday song were sang by The Boys and my candle was the table candle. Exquisite! Save on the cake and candle. -_-
The alcohol consumption was rather, a surprise. One Heineken only! Wheeee..!! No! I don’t have liver problem where I can’t drink much. It’s just that, I’m cutting down on drinking. It’s quite damaging to both the pocket and health, so yeah, one of my to do list this year.
The Boys, decided that, the night is not going to end until they say so. I was like starting to zone out already since the places there at Changkat closes quite early. We ended up at A&W.
My second beer of the night…
Here, is where I totally zone out! 90% K-Oed. Enough said…
Jabroni, moi, ‘Heskey’ and Juneo
Glad this birthday turns out great, tho.. a subtle one. All the random wishes, calls, and the great companies with the kids, the strangers, the ladies, and The Boys throughout the whole day.
Don’t need any fancy birthday presents (tho, it will be an added bonus) and all, just great companies will do.
See I’m so simple right?
Thank You Peeps.
Shopping has never been this tough. NEVER!
First of all, I couldn’t find a tracksuit for 6yr old. Then, I was lost on what a tracksuit is, actually. All I thought was that it is a pants for sports. I don’t know. I’m blur nowadays. I went to the children department and I couldn’t find tracksuit for 6yr old girl.
I literally stood there at the department store for quite some time just to decide what I want to buy actually. I do not want to buy something that they can’t wear. I don’t see them often, and better be safe than to disappoint.
So yeah, I fail terribly in buying cloths for children. Gosh, how am I going to be a daddy next time. The future wife is seriously going to do all the shopping and I bet she would be more than glad to do it. Solution: Just give the cash and let her handle it. It’s woman’s secret art of kung-fu.
So I ended up buying this for Cindy Angelia. I think, it is sure the safest bet.
Flower suits girls… No?
Simon’s gift was rather easy and it didn’t take me long enough to decide on this. I find that buying them a whole set outfit is rather better than just the t-shirt alone.
Finally, guitar for Jacob. See, I have a guitar at home. It has been left lying there for more than 5 years. Tried learning, but never got around learning much. Lost touch on what are the notes and how to play. Since Jacob’s wish is a guitar, this guitar is his then.
Still in a brand new state… Re-string and re-tuned…
Rather have someone who wants a guitar than me keeping it at home, right?
I want to do something different this coming new year…
Ever since I’ve started listening to LiteFM’s Top 1000 New Year countdown, I’ve came across their “Gift Of Love” programme. It struck me that, hey, I know KIDS Home and hey, what a coincidence day too!
Like I said, I’m going to do something different. I’m gonna give some gifts of love.
I’m getting Cindy Angelia Yee Fung a tracksuit. I wanted to grant her three Christmas wishes, but Rex of LiteFM told me that why not grant three children their wish instead of one.
I totally agreed when he suggested that and I am getting Jacob a Guitar and Simon a T-Shirt.
It’s easy to do so. Call in anytime (03-9543 3333) during 9am-5pm to tell them you want to grant any of the children their wish or you can fax your willingness to grant the children their wish by faxing your details and whom among the 56 children you want to buy a gift for. The fax number is 03-9543 3006.
I’ve visited Rumah KIDS back when I was in the Interact Club. Long time ago, more than 10 years now. Still remember that the head was Mr. Anbu. Don’t know if he is still there running the show. But anyways, history will remain, but I want to just add on another chapter into my history by doing just this…
My other wishes can wait, but these kid’s wishes are to be granted first!!
|Come join us for a Christmas Party organized for the children of RUMAH KIDS at IMPIANA KLCC HOTEL & SPA Banquet Hall, Level 2, Saturday, 3 Jan 2009, 12noon to 3pm.|
|To get an invitation, you need to pick a gift from the Christmas Tree below. Listen out for the cue to call and if you’re the nominated caller through, just tell the announcer which gift you’re getting for the children and be rewarded with the biggest gift of all, a smile on the children’s faces when you hand over the gift they wanted that you bought for them.|
|LiteFM’s Gift Of Love is from 29th December 2008 till 2nd January 2009.
Make this Christmas a meaningful one for you and the children.
*List taken from LiteFM’s website, Gift Of Love*
Why not you join me and grant one of the children their wish too??
It is a belated and advance celebration. A double celebration so to say…
Wanted to go The Curve, but decided not as the jam over there is going to be horrendous. I thought. She opted for Mid Valley instead.
I thought it was white?? Hmm…
She insisted that I faster use her employee card, else I can’t use it anymore after 31st December 2008. Ohkay, so I went and I got myself a new Executive wear… *wink-wink*
Not the exact pair, but yea…
Shopping was minimal… Very minimal. I tell you, don’t ever walk into Zara! You will sure come out burning. Your heart burning because you burn a big hole in your pocket! Not for the faint hearted. Definitely!
Now, I’m a shopping addict! -_- Window shopping, that is.
For the record, finally, some people are getting their hands to design clothing with horizontal lines. Walked into Topman and they are selling Long Sleeve Jersey tops with 20% off and they are mostly long sleeves! Consider them unlucky as I did not want to burn my pocket. I will get it over the weekend!! Wheee…
Grey Stripped Button Crew (source: Topman)
I bumped into Richard who recently came back from Aussie and catch up a lil bit.
We then head for dinner. I chose Dragon-I and boy.. it was packed! But luckily we didn’t have to wait for settings for two.
Banyak orang lah….
I wanted to grab myself WaiterRant’s book at MPH. It was quick rush as we need to head home soon. I walked in, asked the Cashier where is the book. I was pushed to Enquiry Desk 4, and then brought to this pillar where they have all the Biography books. I scan through that place in about 1 minute, I gave up. I walked out dissapointed.. Boo Hoo…
The book that I didn’t manage to buy…
I think it is selling at Borders too. hmmmm.. Let’s see if I can grab it this coming Sunday.
What a nice date with Mom…
Anyways, the Christmas spirit for me is still the ONZzz..
Keep It Alive!!
Jingle Balls, Jingle Balls…
