Bad Experience
Pulling the Handbrake
May 21st
Work is killing but I just wanna state my thoughts here and head back to it.
I think I have been really calm lately. I did not cry over spilled milk. I have been very diplomatic with mistakes. I have not been screaming my lungs while driving in a bad traffic jam. I have been very nice to people who have hurt me. I did not go all out against unreasonable decision made by my HQ.
Recently, I had a meal and I found a hair. I pushed the bowl aside, made a slight temper fuss but I did not went over to complain. The boss saw me and asked what happened and she saw the hair. I told her, “It’s okay. Just don’t charge me for it.” She said “No! No! No!, I will bring you something else.” I insisted, “No”.
On usual normal ocassion, I would just stop eating and make a big fuss over it. Hey, that hair could come with all the germs and what not. That person could have not washed his/her hair for a very long time. I did not. I calmly push aside the vege bowl. Dig out a potion from my own bowl and continue eating the rest of my meal.
Paying my bill, she said sorry again and I just smiled and walked away. What I will not do is make a fuss. What I will do is blacklist that bloody place! Simple. No hassle.
I don’t know what it is but it seems that I have changed without me knowing until someone told me about it. It’s like pulling the handbrake from everything which does me no good.
First it was smoking, then it was drinking which I have not touched for so long now and then clubbing and now my temper.
Is this the sign of getting old where people gets more gentle and calm?
HELP NEEDED: Sore Throat!!!
May 12th
Desperate times calls for desperate measure…
Tomorrow is my big presentation. Not big as in big big, but yeah. Kinda big.
I wouldn’t get into detail of what presentation it would be but it involves my company and my client.
PROBLEM – My sore throat is not gonna cure at all. Chucking down honey drinks and what not is not helping at all….
So I Googled “best cure for sore throat” and I found many replies…
I’ve found answers from About.com which pretty much lists down the many different type of remedies.
Then there is not so good listing at WikiAnswers. So much for a Wiki eh?
But the best would be from this blog MyFinancialJourney on Frugal cure for a sore throat.
I must say that I am impressed with the findings which was initially found here at EarthClinic.Com
Taken from EarthClinic these are the chart of most popular sore throat remedies:
MOST POPULAR SORE THROAT REMEDIES:
REMEDY NAME # of YEAS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 90 CAYENNE PEPPER 316+ ACV AND CAYENNE 39 HYDROGEN PEROXIDE 14 IODINE PAINTING 12 PICKLE JUICE BRINE 27 SALT WATER GARGLE 19 TABASCO SAUCE 16
Cayenne Pepper got an impressive 316+ of YEAs! Whoa! That good?
As of to day there are more than 300 testimonials that it works. Come let me take one testimonial from the lot
[YEA] 05/10/2009: UA Student from Tucson, AZ writes: “I woke up this morning with a sore throat and have to go to work today where I am constantly talking to patrons. I decided to warm a coffee mug with warm water and about 1/2 a teaspoon full of cayenne pepper and gargled. It feels remarkably better! The only side effect I would say I felt is that my lips are kind of burning like I just ate some spicy salsa. But definitely worth it!”
I am so gonna go buy cayenne pepper and gargle it up to prepare my presentation tomorrow afternoon!
I don’t even know what cayenne pepper is so I decided to Wiki it up and it says
“The Cayenne, or Guinea pepper, or Bird pepper[1] is a red, hot chili pepper used to flavor dishes and for medicinal purposes.”
OMG!… GOT PICTURE SUMMORE!!!

DIE! …. COMFIRM DIE!!!…..

OH NO!! MAMA!! HELLPP!!! MAAAAAA……………… *cries*
Please pray for my safety when I gargle these tomorrow morning!!! *fingers crossed*
I will report to you to see if it works or not okay?

I promise, I will only use domestic sign language okay? No international signs…
It’s late and I’m gonna go flat out… ZZZzzzzzz
What The Hell Is Happening!?!?

Just Not Yours…
Apr 27th
Have it occured to you that you want to hold on to something which you feel that you should, because you felt that it is worth holding on to?
Be it a relationship, work, friendship, family, your old junk car, your childhood toy, a business or whatsoever it may be.
I have been holding on… so much because I know it is worth fighting for. It is worth the investment of my time and energy into it. So many things. I do. But I learn it the hard way. Real hard way.
Today, reality strikes, even harder.
Because it has now clearly written right on my face that,
What’s not yours to keep, is just not yours.
or something similar
What’s not your rice bowl, don’t bother asking for it.
or even something similar
What’s not worth your time, definitely not worth investing in it.
But sometimes, I digress. I feel that, I can go against these simple principle. And everytime I do, I lay face flat on the ground. No. Not crying, even. Just re-thinking,
“What the hell am I even doing?”
Because, I held on to these principle to counter the above,
What doesn’t kills you, just makes you stronger.
I’m sure I can walk it through.. very sure!
An Even BIGGER Sigh…
Apr 22nd
Bahger! If I can find who the hell did this to YapMobil, I will make sure his or her car is equally damaged the same way it is done to mine!

By the looks of it, I’m very sure it could be some van or MPV or some car which is not a sedan!
I’m gonna hunt down that car! Very sure. The scar on YapMobil was quite the dusty and muddy. I’m very sure also it could be an old junk vehicle working somewhere near construction site.
I’m very sure this happened when I was at Oldtown, Cheras because at my office car park, both sides also black vehicle. Luck doesn’t seem to be on my side whenever I step into Oldtown.
Gosh! Is there an unlucky charm bring done on me because I talk bad about Oldtown?
Okay, maybe I should talk something good about them…
WHOA! OLDTOWN IS DAMN GOOD WEI… THEY GIVE FREE WIFI, THE FOOD IS GOOD. THE DRINKS ALSO NOT BAD. YOU SHOULD TRY THEIR HAZELNUT WHITE COFFEE! IT’S NOT BAD! VERY NICE WAN. CURRY ME ALSO OKAY LAH. VERY NICE ALSO.
I’m saying the above out of my heart. I am not bias wan…
Just that, so happen that everytime I am at Oldtown, things just doesn’t go my way.
It’s just me… hmmm…
Oldtown’s WiFi SUCKS!!!
Apr 13th
This is the second time Oldtown play its WiFi tricks with me again.
Bloody hell..!!
Internet not working wan..
Last time, they shut down on me..!!
BAH!!
Oh, I’m at Oldtown Avenue 8 btw. I’m using my ever helpful Celcom Broadband.
That also, sometimes it is not connecting. I need a RELIABLE internet to work on!
GAH!!!!
Update: 1140pm
If you are going to offer WiFi, make sure you give your fullest lah. Last I remember asking the store manager, I don’t know which store it is but yeah, they have a limited amount of people that can access to their WiFi router at one go. Or is it the service provider’s fault? I don’t know lah. I blame all parties involved! Cause I am paying for my food. Not to say I order ice lemon tea only everytime I go. I spend dinner or lunch there! Gah!
Not like you can’t get back your investment by fulfilling the needs of the people! Don’t tell me your cost of running a “kopitiam” is very high? Not like you are hiring Malaysians to serve your customers and you are already saving a lot on labour cost.
Last I was at Oldtown, it was at Sunway Mentari and it was even worst back then. You just shut off your WiFi just like a snap of a finger. At least have courtesy to tell your customer you are closing. We will understand that and we will leave. I was doing my work summore back then.
Is it so hard to satisfy this part of your customer’s request?
Result of Over Working
Apr 7th
As Fun Time is Over, I think everything I work on is acting up on me!
That includes Mozilla Firefox! Firefox no likey me. Cause I over worked it today.
Thus, it died on me… -_-

Not just once, but several times! It is crazy I tell you! Plus that with slow performance of my laptop. OMG! Can die dot com dot my…
This is what you want to avoid when your business depends very much on online information and web based program support and then you overwork the program that is supporting your business. They will not like you any extra bit more.
So you have to ‘sayang‘ them. Turn them off for like ten minutes and then turn them on again. Okay, that… doesn’t sound right. -_-
Please! Please! Please! Stay alive Firefox! I need you!!!
Is there a way to keep myself awake without feeling tired and sleepy?
I need it for this coming 2-3 days. It is gonna be crazy!
No! coffee can’t help much either… I’ve tried. Coffee is also acting up on me! -_-
Thank You! Idiot!!
Apr 1st
This happened last Friday. I reached home quite late and my parking lot was occupied by a motorbike.
When that happen, of course I will not want to touch the bike and ask the security to help move the bike aside. The security guard took some chain and locks as well, but I told him he doesn’t need to cause I just want him to move the bike. I don’t want to do it myself.
While the guard was with me at the parking lot, two other Malay guys came approaching me. One guy, let’s call him idiot and his companion, and the following conversation happened in Bahasa.
Idiot: Why? You are asking the guard to lock my bike?
Me: I’m just asking the guard to move your bike
Idiot: Then why he carry the chain?
Me: I told him no need, he still carries.
Idiot: Why I always see you park here. Everytime I pass by also you don’t seem to care.
Me: I don’t even know that it is you that stays at this lot.
Idiot: Then why you park here? Where is your lot? Who give you permission to park here?
Me: I park here because the chairman gave me this spot. My spot is taken by others.
Idiot: You don’t simply park your car at other people’s place. Have you asked our permission? You don’t even approach us?
Me: If you don’t want me to park here, please tell me. I’ve been parking at this spot for 3 years and no one dispute it with me at all.
Idiot: I hate people who take people’s spot without asking. I see other people’s car I will sure give it a good time. I see you stay here I don’t confront you only.
Me: Now, can I park here or not? If not, please tell me now so that I can go and find other spot.
Idiot: *starts his motor* Nevermind.. you park lah..
Idiot’s Companion: It’s okay. You take this spot. If you see any car here next time, please go to unit 201 and call us. We will move the car for you.
Me: *dumbfounded* You are okay for me to park here? Sure?
Idiot: You just park…
Idiot’s Companion: It’s okay. Don’t worry.
So, the conclusion from that night was. Okay. I’m allowed to park there. No further dispute.
I went back to my apartment. Worried, that I have to tell the chairman to inform the owner so that I will not be disturb again. Chairman and the owner are friends so that would help solve some problem.
Next morning, I met the Chairman of my apartment joint management body and told him what happened. I was on my way out to Pyramid that Saturday morning. I reached my car and I saw a gift. I’m very sure it was from either one of the Malay idiot.

For 3 years I’ve parked my car there and I don’t have any harm done to my car. Now, because I took his spot, I am given three scratches and I thought it was okay from his tone last night.
I went back to the Chairman and told him what I saw and asked his help to find another spot. I’ve got the message bright and clear.
I found out that he is the new tenant at the unit. Dates a Chinese girl from China.
Now I see him riding his bike like a hooligan around my area. Brings around another Malay girl, since his China girl went back China. Maybe he got too frustrated with her and told her to “Balik Cina” instead?
I don’t know. But this kind of people is a sad case in Malaysia. I thought living under one roof in the same Apartment we all can tolerate each other. No. This idiot decided that he is stupid and dumb to even open his mouth and gave me three years worth of award, three scratches. Now YapMobil has got a tattoo. Nice or not? Maybe I should offend another person by parking at another lot and tell them to scratch the other side instead to balance it out.
When will these people grow and have some freaking brain?
What a fool you are to me! May you ride your bike one day and you fall into a monsoon drain and hope that I will be passing by and stop over and then just smile at you and drive away. You are lucky that I’m not like you, who damages people’s property. I leave u alone. Because YOU CAN’T BE HELP!
So, Thank You, Idiot!
The Hit and Run
Mar 9th
The weekend was wonderful and it still is. I’m gonna have another long day today.
It was Sunday the 8th of March 2009 and it was about 2 in the afternoon. I was driving back home from Ampang after a late brunch. I was at the huge intersection on Jalan Ampang and Jalan Tun Razak heading back to KLCC. The traffic light shows red for the road I’m on and the next go would be ours.
I was playing around with my camera, taking snapshots of my phone and there is a reason for it. ![]()
Seconds later, the traffic light turns green. We got a go!
Next thing I see. *BAAAMM!!!* A black BMW ran the red light at the opposite intersection, turning right onto Jalan Tun Razak towards US Embassy. A man riding a motorbike crash onto the back of the BMW and flew out of his bike.
The BMW fled the scene. It happened so fast that I got shocked to see that right in front of me. Lucky the victim that I’m going slow, else I would have ran over his head on the road. I would assume the car was a BMW, given the back profile of the car. That driver drove VERY FAST.
I stop my car just by the traffic light after the rider and ran down to see how he is doing. I see a lady in Gen2 coming down from her to come and help too.
I squat beside the victim and I ran a quick view on his condition before touching or moving him.
His eyes is shut. He is not moving. His left arm bruised from the fall. His left palm got a cut near his thumb. His is seen shaken.
Good thing about watching 911 back then is that I’ve learned some good points on what should I do when faced in this situation. I saw a guy on the phone and I asked him if he was calling the ambulance. He just nods his head. I ask the victim if he can move his leg. He kept quite. His eyes are still shut, from the pain I’m guessing. I asked him to try moving his leg again. He did but he struggled moving his left arm. He gestured with his right arm, putting a pat on his left arm saying very softly “patah“.
I let out in despair, “Oh God”.
Lifting my head up, I see a lot of people around me and the Gen2 lady. Most of them are motorbike riders. I’ve got a guy with his family in his Toyota Alphard asking if he is okay. OF COURSE HE IS NOT OKAY! The kind of question people ask! Stupid! Some guys helped with the victim’s bike left on the middle of the intersection and cleared the road from the accident debris.
The victim said in grievance tone, “Ambik tepilah. Panas!“. Takes no genius to guess further. The group of people moved him up to the curb. They all said a short Muslim prayer before moving him. What fascinate me is that, they all said it simultaneously. I smiled, knowing that he will be well taken care in God’s will.
I looked around for cloths to make a temporary arm sling to hold his arm close to his chest. Gen2 lady offered her help and she did mentioned that she works for Prince Court Medical Centre just down the road. I found the victim’s raincoat on his bike and passed it on to Gen2 lady. She made the arm sling.
We sat him down, resting his back on the traffic light with the support of Happy Pillow.
The Gen2 lady asked me if the ambulance has been called. I said, “Yes, the guy over there called already”. I asked the guy again, he just nod and pulled a long face which prompted me to call 999 myself. This time, thank godness the operator didn’t ask me for my race after taking down my name and phone number. I called 999 once back then and the operator asked me my race, and if the victim is Malay or Chinese and a lot of stupid question.
Gen2 lady said to send him to the nearest hospital instead which is Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) nearby on Jalan Pahang. I offered my help as other doesn’t seem to be very helpful either. I canceled the ambulance with the 999 operator and took the victim to HKL. One big size guy said I shouldn’t worry about moving him around and said he is a paramedic. Why the hell when you are a paramedic, you are standing there looking and talking and not helping??!!! Para-my-ass!!!

The guys there then moved the victim into my car. Took his belongings on from his motorbike and drove off to HKL. I had to brave the on comming traffic from KLCC, crossing onto Tun Razak heading towards IJN. It was hellova crazy experience there. Those cars won’t stop!
I reached HKL in a matter of minutes and looked for the emergency stop. I stopped my car and one attendant came out. He looked at the condition of the victim. He did some check on his body joints and then asked him to stand outside, while he went on to grab a wheelchair. The wheelchair came with one front wheel missing. World class healthcare we have here. I have not gone into detail how slow he is, did I?

Making sure he is well received, I asked the attendant on what should I do next. He told me that I can go straight home and they will take care of him. But, I decided not too. I went on looking for a car park. The car park in Hospital Kuala Lumpur is the worst! I don’t understand why people just can’t understand the importance of parking when our public transportation is a national joke!! Gah!
Parked my car, went back looking for the victim. He was well taken care of by a doctor to treat his wounds and put on an arm sling for his left arm. Helped him to register for his medical treatment and waited for a number to see another doctor.

Helped him call his company and he called his wife. His company secretary seems to worry more about her work more than her employee’s ordeal. “I got an urgent work to be done, I will go and visit him later.” was what his company’s secretary said.
While waiting, I got to know that he works as a personal driver. He also helps with his office work. His name is Mat. He stays at Taman Keramat. He was on his way to KLCC when the accident happened. He insist that I go ahead if I have something to do. I told him, “Tak ape. I akan tolong abang sampai isteri abang sampai.”
I’ve got work to do, an emergency travel booking. I decided that someone’s life is more important than work. I called my ticketing manager and sought her help with my work. I need to help this guy through the hospital process. He is on wheelchair with only one arm at his disposal for goodness sake.
The process took no more than 2 1/2 hours. He had to see a GP, then get an X-Ray done, back to the GP, register for his ward, go through a long hall to “Yellow Zone” ward and stayed there for treatment.

It is when we are at the ward, I see profesionalism and felt that, if I leave him alone here, he is on good hands. But then, I’ve met a few people who has nothing to do with the hospital but lingered around there to help me with directions. The hospital should hire them, as wardens maybe?
The doctors got their diagnose done and came to a treatment schedule for him. Mat got one small broken bone at his left shoulder. The cut on his left palm needs a few stitch and he doesn’t need to be warded. This guy, seems to be a medical student on housemanship asked me some questions about the incident. He thought I was Mat’s son. I told him that I’m not and he replied “You’ve done a good thing here Thomas.”
But then, I felt that I have not done enough. I should have seen the number plate of that car, and I think it is a BMW. I should have used my camera to take a quick snap when I saw the hit and run, but I didn’t. I was looking at Mat lying on the road instead. I should have gave a chase to the BMW to take down it’s number plate, but I didn’t.
Then again, I felt good helping Mat till I see his wife and handed over his personal belonging to Mat’s wife. Left my namecard with my personal IDs to be used when he reports the incident.
I sure do hope that the camera at the intersection did recorded the accident and Mat can use that to identify the BMW number plate. Or should I hope that the camera is working instead?
