What Was: New Year’s Eve 2010

There were a lot of plans popping up for New Year’s Eve (NYE) and some of it includes Langkawi or KL hotspots.

Then again, The Boys was rather tired with all the fast moving parties and of course, crowd. We had endured all those past years’ celebration and this time, we opted for somewhat more quiet and subtle plan. Just dinner and chill.

We went to Solaris Mon’t Kiara and thought it will not be so pack, but when I reach, one street way was closed for table set ups and what not and there was a stage! Then again, it was not as pack as KL lah.

Made a reservation at Meatworks at 9PM, but it was stated 7PM. Lucky table is available when we arrived.

When Pat got the menu and he was like, “The food here looks yummy”. I said, “Definitely” and thus giving him an approval for the good food at Meatworks! Haha

The others were a little late but it’s okay, we got time. I ordered some starters and Rue’s comment on ox tail soup prompted me to order one. Haha

For my main dish, I had Sirloin, medium well done. Well, it is kinda dry, but then, it’s medium well. Would’ve opted for medium rare but I would rather eat something done well as I was kinda sick.

The company was great, except, would have been better if CK and all our +1 was there. But oh wells, it’s okay as Ben went and rented a crowd of 3 to make up the numbers.

When we finished our dinner and thus it was just right at strike of midnight.

So, I wasn’t in the right mood where I expected more of that night, but then again, beggars can’t be choosers. I can only expect, and if it doesn’t happen, I can’t do much. I wanted more beer and Pat and I went to this Berlin Biergarten.

The staff got screwed by me for telling me no jug is being sold and I saw with my own eyes other tables got served jug. He pushed 2 pints of Heineken to us instead of jug. I pitied him in the end as he caught me at my wrong mood and paid him off some tips after all.

Rue was MIA and so does Ben and the rented crowd. Haha. But they all came back.

Berlin Biergarten was giving out party packs and this clappy thing was part of the pack.
