“Explosions at Jakarta Ritz Carlton nearby Marriot Hotel which was bombed by terrorists a few years ago.. 4 confirmed dead.”
I was like, “WHAT!??!?!?”
I came home and went to CNN for the news…
“The Ritz-Carlton Hotel was to have accommodated soccer players from Manchester United of Britain, who are expected to arrive Saturday in Jakarta on Saturday.
The victims were taken to nearby MMC Hospital and Jakarta Hospital, the agency reported.
Police sealed off the area around both blasts, one of which occurred in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the other at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, about 50 meters away, about 7:50 a.m. (8:50 p.m. Thursday ET).”
This is superbly crazy…
Where can I buy bomb protection gear right now? I want to be safe when I travel!!!
Although I’m gonna be like few thousand KM away from Jakarta… but still…!!!

One more reason to avoid those very expensive hotels and to go to the backpack ones. But for all those people in business trip, it is difficult to avoid those hotels.
