I was so dead tired that I wrote this post halfway and slept. Woke up and saw that I’ve got nearly 70% spelling errors and bad ‘ENGLAND’ top to bottom. I even tagged ‘Business’ for this post -_-

Valentine’s Day, which happened yesterday was pretty much any other single day to me, except that the feel for the day is so much different. I think it is all about the ‘Love Is In The Air‘ that is floating all around us. Don’t you think so?

So how was your Valentine’s day?

On Friday morning, I had this new client asking me how am I going to celebrate my Valentine’s. I replied,

“Hmmm… Let’s see. I’m going to buy her the biggest rock any jewelry shop sells and register ourselves together with 99 other couples and book our honeymoon at Bahamas or Tahiti“

She is the one who heard my voice over the phone, and registered myself in her books that I’m way past my mid 20s. When she saw me during our meet, she got shocked to see and know that I’ve not even past mid 20s. That is in the case of my position.

So she replied to my answer,

“You serious? Congratulation man! So young at your age you achieve so much already.“

The fun was over when I laughed over the phone after her reply. Hahaha

If ever that were really happening. If ever…

I also had a few random question being thrown to me during this Valentine’s Day celebration.

I was at a roadblock on Friday and it was also past midnight at Jalan Tun Razak while I was heading back from office. Usually they will strike a conversation with you so that they can smell if you were drinking or not. So we did a small chat.

Police: Dari mane nih? (“Where did you came from?”)
Me: Dari office la bang. (“From the office”)
Police: Mana girlfriend? Valentine’s ma (“Where’s your girlfriend? It’s Valentine’s”)
Me: Girlfriend kat rumah lah bang. Dia tengah tidur. (“She’s at home. Sleeping”)

Don’t ask me how did I came up with an imaginary ‘girlfriend’ suddenly. -_- Words just came out babbling as I was nearly zoning out completely, dead tired.

Then, it was Saturday afternoon. I was in KL and I was walking from Lot 10 to Sg Wang. I bumped into Chung Lern and Stephanie. I actually ‘bump’ into him intentionally…

Chung Lern: EH! Thomas! That’s why lah, I thought why this guy look so familiar.
Thomas: Hahaha… Hieeee… Happy Valentine’s Day!
Chung Lern: Where you going?
Thomas: I’m going to Sg. Wang. Wanna find a backpack.
Chung Lern: Alone?
Thomas: Yes, I’m alone.
Chung Lern: What? You serious ah? Alone?
Thomas: Yes, I am!!! What’s so wrong about going out all alone?
Chung Lern: No lah… *yada yada yada*

When he said that “What? You serious ah? Alone?”. It was quite loud and those passerbys who heard that was like looking weird at me. I know lah it is Valentine’s Day but what’s wrong or sad about going out all alone to shop?

Maybe, they have never been alone for quite some time. As in, they have their partner in their life and going out alone seems rather a rare ocassion? Hmm…

Then, yesterday night during dinner, Erin started asking everyone what’s their first Valentine’s Day ‘date’ like.

Erin: So Mr. Yap. What’s your story?
Me: *Smile* hmmm… Valentine’s Date huh…
Erin: Come on.. I’m sure you have a good one.

So, I’ve got no Valentine’s Day ‘date’ story to tell. Nothing juicy or good came out either.

But, came to think of it again now, all I had was what silly things I’ve done in the past years back then for ‘that‘ girl. If it were to flashback at me that time during dinner, I would have talked non stop.

Hmm… Hopefully, next year onwards I wouldn’t be replying any police that I have an imaginary girlfriend, not being so much alone during Valentine’s day and I would definitely have great love stories to share…
