My Ten Types Of Clients

January 8, 2009 – 11:30 pm

I have many types of clients…

Seriously, they just have many faces…

1) The clients will call you to get their job done and pays you to do it. As in, their job scope. Not the kind of job that we are actually paid to do. Get it?

2) The clients will chase for your invoice and pays you off quickly. Wow! I like.

3) Some clients are just a pain the butt for running off without paying you. I’ve got one person exactly of this trait, and I’m still hunting him down. He can hide, but he can’t run.

4) ALL and I mean ALL as in ALL my clients is asking me to get married, so that I can gain some weight. They think, that finding a girlfriends is such an easy task like shopping and getting married is an overnight thing. Unless I would run the red light. Funny lah!

5) They know you are charging them a little on a high in price, but they are still coming back to you. No, I don’t do any undertable hanky-panky kinda thing. My clients don’t practice this. We are not like any other type of agent who would undercut and undertable to gain a business. No! Purely SERVICE!

6) The clients would be glad to spend you lunch, instead of me spending them. Weird?

7) They make you go crazy and ask you to support them over the weekend and during non-office hours and will tell you “Hey, just charge whatever expenses to my company yeah. Sorry la, trouble you.” While some others would ask for free. Hey! No one works for free okay!

8) They will call and get some work task done and will hang on and chit chat for like half-an-hour! But then, they complain they got a lot of work at their end and rush me to get things done quickly. Funny?

9) I have travel consultants to take care of them, but they insist I am the one doing the work. Hello! What for we hire the travel consultants!!!??? Sigh. Give me extra workload only when I already push it aside.

10) Some clients will call and say, “Hey, you don’t leave The Company yeah. Must stay and support us okay.” Whoa! They think that I should stick to The Company till I retire. -_-

That is all I can think of right now…
