It's all about my travel experience and things I love to do…
Punggok Rindukan Bulan Opens Today
About one month ago, I was invited by Da Huang Pictures to the press screening of Punggok Rindukan Bulan, which directly translate to “Owl Misses the Moon” in English. The screening title in English is “This Longing”.

This film about a boy, barely in secondary school, Sidi and his father Adman, who both unknowingly cope with the sudden absence of a key female figure in their life. Set in the border town of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This film also features a building which is being set to be demolished right after this filming.

I find this film very special. If you are into alternative films, then give this a try. You might not like it 100% but maybe 70%. You need to appreciate films like this to really enjoy it. Not many would like it tho, as said by the Producer Amir Muhammad. It is a very niche market this film is targeting.

It is a lil bit slow throughout the whole duration of 1 1/2 hours of the film. You will be brought from the day how Sidi (Saeful) faced with the absence of his mother Umi (Maya Karin). How he endured his days, missing his mother. It actually brings me to the thought of how if my mom is not here with us anymore. How would I be missing her so much. How? Just like how this film is being made.

Remember I mentioned above, this film evolves around a low cost building that would be demolished. The scene is set right in the middle of Johor Bharu city, down south of Peninsular Malaysia.

The film also tells about the story Sidi and his two other friends whom he hangs out with all the time. Remy (Muhammad Haqim) and Arman (Mohd Izzul Azmi). They roam the city at nights, they go skateboardings and many more.
There is a short Q&A after the movie film and there you go, some pictures for you all to see. ![]()
