A CHARM-ing lunch
August 18, 2008 – 11:10 pmNow, with work coming in droves every other day, one ought to take their weekend break with much relaxation. I did exactly the same with some retail theraphy.
Mom sent a text on Wednesday saying that Ikea’s last day of sale is on Sunday and she would like to see if she can grab anything from there. So I replied a “Ok!”.
The usual routine when we hit any location, mostly shopping malls is to scout for food. I wanted some buffet option, but there was none in sight at The Curve which I know off. So, next on my list is Nyonya! *YUM*. But I couldn’t help myself to find a Nyonya restaurant in The Curve’s listing.
Mom wants to give a go for TGI Fridays, but I opted otherwise, because, that defeats a purpose to try something new which I always have on my mind. Walked around and I saw this nice looking restaurant, tucked away from the main area at the Asian Courtyard and they serve local specialties as well as some fusion dishes in their menu. Charms Cafe!

They chalked on their display board, Lamb Chamer with butter Rice comes with complimentary salad and “tong sui” (desert) as their Weekend Special. I am too tired to go through the menu and opted for that instead. Mom ordered the Fish Curry with Rice.
The “tong sui” arrived first, and it was “Burbur Chacha”. I must say, one of good ones served in a restaurant. As good as you can get roadside or homecooked. Seriously! Cause, restaurant’s desert sometimes are a lil’ bit the off.
The Fish Curry came first. Mom seriously liked it a lot and when she likes a meal, it means, Charm has done its job in charming their customers with their menu!

A moment later, there comes my Lamb Chamer, served on top of a burning chacoal grill which was a head turner when it came.

It looked really good right??!! Taste just nice. This also, my mom approves and gave her thumbs up. Personally, I liked it very much! Just as good as it could get and I frankly would recommend this place to any of you out there shopping at The Curve wanting to grab a meal, go to Charms Cafe!
