Human Terracotta at Low Yat Plaza

August 16, 2008 – 1:38 am

I went to Low Yat Plaza today to catch the live appearance of a Terracotta warrior. I was pretty much captivated by both the camera fair and the Terracotta warrior. I had a chance to see how a human Terracotta was build from scratch, as in how they actually put him up in the costume. Sort of like a backstage kinda thing.

Thanks to Edmund who gave me a call to check it out, I gave myself a break in work and went over to check it out. It rained when I was on my way there and it was crazy jam at the city! Along, Jalan Bukit Bintang as well!! It was crazy I tell you!!!

It was quite busy at the fair when I reach… Not too bad for a Friday crowd.
Mainly, there were many tourist at the fair booth. Mostly, middle eastern tourists.

I bet they would be making like about more than RM 50 grand a day? Maybe on Saturday and Sunday they would be raking in more than RM 200 grand??

Not only tourists, but I see many Malaysians too! Where the hell they got the money to buy cameras at this time of the economy where there is a hike in everything from food to petrol!!!

After a while, there comes the Terracotta warrior! Everyone was like looking like “jakun” at the Terracotta warrior! haha.. The best was when the lift door open, this guy saw the Terracotta warrior in shock! hahaha

So what happens when something unusual comes out in middle of a camera fair?
Camwhoring starts!! hehehe

The Terracotta looks damn real like super real! Okay! I’ve not seen the real ones in China, but this seems like exactly what I see in television from the National Geographic Channel…

The people behind the costume design has spent about 2 months to get this piece of wonder.

The Terracotta visited the Fujifilm booth as well!!

He knows how to camwhore as well!! ahhaha

See!! Me no lying!

GO lah this weekend to check this fair out! You will get great discounts on cameras!

Take some time off your weekend to go “pak tor” (dating) lah!! :D hehehe

One particular camera I like during the fair is the Sony DSC-T300. It is a 10 MP camera priced at RM 1698 and it comes with free 4GB card and leather case. Maybe if you go during their last day which is Sunday, you might be able to pull off more freebies than usual? hehe…

One good thing about Sony DSC-T300 is the touch screen! OMG! I love it. Although I know some of you would say that touch screen, once “kaput”, your pocket also hole big big… oh well, true but DUDE! it is TOUCH SCREEN i’m talking about!!! okay.. i’ve never toyed around with such a high grade camera. So just leave me alone will ya… -_-

All the photos were taken with Fujifilm Finepix S100 FS which the guy at the booth was kind enough to borrow me for this visit.. :D

The Fujifilm Finepix S100 FS is priced at RM 2399 at the fair! Grab it quick!

Check back here again to see how the Terracotta is being made!
