hack87: woohoo!! let's do a "ditch lousy internet" day..!!

Simon Seow: given the acclaimed coverage.. i think it should... further the general public are the ones using broadband the most, mainly.

scamboy: i still think RM 80 is kinda expensive tho, for WiMAX, given their lower operational cost. Say, they need to compete with Streamyx's RM 60 package.. but, next election? i don't know.. i would rather all these not being politicized, but oh wells. Malaysia Boleh!

Dear Yap,

I don't think the issue here is pricing.

Jaring's Wireless Broadband is priced only @ RM40 for the 384Kbps package. Plus you get the speed you pay for.

The issue here is coverage. I would still say that broadband in Malaysia still OK, just that it is unfair for one company like TM to dominate it.

WiMAX does promises high speed broadband, but in terms of bandwidth, Malaysia only has around 70Gbps of International capacity. The slow internet connection to the US currently is a proof that the international bandwidth is not enough. How will WiMAX full fill its high speed promises?

Yeah, I will subscribe to WiMAX if it is priced @RM80(it will be priced probably lower).....but the speed is definitely gonna be 1Mbps and not more.

I guess Malaysians will have to wait for the next election for a new change.....;)
