Maldives Escapade - Journey to Paradise

It was September 2005 and a group of 14 people went to Maldives for a study trip.
The trip was made right after tsunami, and we stayed at a four star resort named
Paradise Island Resort. Shall reserve this lovely resort for my next post.

It was a great vacation and we love it to the max… Many can only dream of going
to Maldives and our dream actually came true as it was either Maldives or some
’sang-ka-la’ place in China called Urumqi. Urumqi was equally good but in the end,
Maldives was the final decision by the college. Yes, it was our international tour.

It was an early evening flight we took and we arrive at Male nearly 10pm night.

You see, everyone was practically packed with a camera. Typical Malaysian tourist!

Upon arrival, check-out from the immigration and while waiting for our ride, we
camwhored! At that time, I don’t even know the meaning of ‘camwhoring’ and the
word ‘camwhore’ wasn’t even known to me…

Soon, our boat transfer is here and we have to take about 20 min ride to Paradise…

It was just a few pictures taken and chi chat and admiring the night scene outside,
we arrive at the place we are going to stay for the next 4 nights…

okay… maybe i was practicing ‘camwhoring’ but i didn’t notice…

Got our keys and we chuck our things all in our lovely sea facing chalet villa.
We found a nice lovely spot and took our time enjoying the skyline and sea breeze
and talk-kok and plan our things to do for the next 4 days…

We get to stay here at a very fantastic price thanks to Sven! He has stayed here for
many years and manage to squeeze our budget to confirm our stay here at Paradise
Island Resort!
