It's all about my travel experience and things I love to do…
Whining for more wine?
The election result was a storm and I teared in joy! Now, let’s all give the new state
government all the support they need to prove they can represent us. Else, sack them.
It was Friday and I had a very jam packed schedule for the whole day.
For a long time, since I have been drinking wine I find the need to go for the wine
Tasting day offered by Wine Cellar. I wouldn’t have known about if not for Nicole
who invited me along.
Humbly located in quite side of Bangsar Wine Cellar is a place to be for wine lovers.
They host wine tasting day from time to time, and I find it a good way to introduce
a new wine to the general public.

So, it was the award winning Tim Adams for that day and learning about wine is
never easier by pouring it down your throat and getting high over it.
(Ok, maybe not)
But what’s better is learning about Tim Adams wine from the true wine connoisseur Ronald Khoo. Ronald is the director of Wine Cellar.

Ronald on the right
Ron was such a great host that night so was his colleagues.
When I arrived, the bottle of Tim Adams Shiraz was bottled down. *sniffs*
Nevertheless, I still got my hands on Tim Adams Riesling.

The generic version of Riesling in Australia?
A 3 year old vintage Riesling is very unique. Riesling came a long way in history
which origins came from Germany. Riesling wines tend to be a little bit fruity and
sweet in taste. It seems to be very good wine to pair with food like white fish or pork.
What I thought would end of the tasting session after finishing this bottle was wrong.
They pop another bottle which is a true German origin Riesling brand, Gunderloch.

Now, this one tastes a sweeter and fruitier than Tim Adams’ Riesling.
Gerald bought cupcakes from Cupcake Chic and we decided to pair it the wines we
are drinking. It turned out that the better pair would be Gunderloch Riesling.

When you see wine drinkers, they will swirl their glasses in round. Do you know
what the purpose is? I learned from this session that when you swirl the wine glass,
you are actually helping to emit the wine scent from the glass. Before you even drink
the wine, the scent of the wine will itself tell you the wine is good to drink.
Which result to a more enjoyable wine drinking session as it seems.

The art of smelling and drinking… -__-
Wine Cellar has a wide range of wines from Australia, New Zealand, Austria,
Germany, France, South Africa, Spain, Argentina, Chile and Italy. They can even outsource for rare wines if time permits. Check out their services and list of wines.
Wine Cellar also imports news fine wine for your drinking pleasure.

The next tasting session would be on this Friday, 14th Mar and Saturday, 15th Mar.
It will be a session to try new wines from Chile and South of France.
Wine Cellar hosts a few events and I seriously think you must check them out.
1) Complimentary Tasting
The same session that I went and it is held weekly.
2) Flight Night
A dining concept where you can try a variety of food and beverages in small portions
all at one go.
3) Theme Dinner: Upcoming Andre Luton Wine Dinner on 26th March 2008.
Now, when you are whining for more wine, you know where to go eh?

I’m impressed, I must say. Really not usually do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is certainly excellent; the problem is something inadequate people are speaking wisely about. I am very happy which I found it within my try to find something about it.
